Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was good and secured. The neighborhood is infected by addicts and homeless people.

Good location. Old hotel. Beds were comfortable. Rugs seemed dirty. Okay for the price.

First issue was my own fault, I booked this hotel with the thought that they had a pool, and for the price they should have. my fault did not check. Room was not ready when we arrived. went out came back later, still not ready, adv we would have to check in after 7:30pm as we had plans with family. When we checked in and went to room the first thing I saw was an elevator that was absolutely disgusting looking. after that went to room that would have been fine but because of the elevator I checked for bed bugs and things. no bugs that I could see, but there was hair in the tub. keep in mind we checked in after 7:30 so not like they had to rush it. I went to front desk and made them aware. They gave me free parking (a whopping $10 off). I pd more for this hotel for one night than I did for a hotel in Niagara falls with pool, all the amenities and a beautiful view of the fireworks every night. Very disappointed!

Lots of eating places and shopping nearby. Not far from places of interest such as Parliament Hill and the Rideau Canal.

No TV service for three days no ice machine that is working. Staff not advising their customers of these issues. We had to bring them to their attention and then they asked did you say anything to us which of course we did said we hadn't paid but yet we have prepaid through Expedia. Whole experience was awful and poor part of town!

was a great place to stay but they need more than a cheap computer hair in the room....something more substantial would be more appreciated

This hotel was horrible. Many people were living in the hotel, there was a microwave right around the corner from my room and it was used constantly throughout the day with different very stinky food and the smell would get into my room. It seemed like a many people were living in the hotel. There were many broken things - thermometer was falling off the wall, stains on the chair, scratches/carvings in the headboard in a foreign language, the Kleenex box was falling off the wall in the bathroom. The carpet was disgusting and the street noise was very very loud making it impossible to sleep. Overall this hotel felt very unsafe not only from the people living in the hotel, it was also in an unsafe part of downtown as there were many people actively using drugs immediately outside the hotel. Lastly the door to get into the hotel, the keycard reader was broken so you had to bank on someone being at the desk to let you in, when there would be people actively using drugs right outside the hotel it was very unsafe. I would strongly NOT recommend.

ITS not 3 star hotel

Staff were very nice and so was the parking! The rest not so much. The window screen I our room was torn so we couldn’t leave it open. The elevator was very dirty. The front door card reader didn’t work, we couldn’t come in on our own and had to be let in. The area was very very rough, I don’t recommend this location if you are concerned about safety!!

Overall our stay was good, as it was only 1 night. The staff were helpful and courteous. Check-In and Check-Out were easy as was payment. You can however see that the hotel is showing a bit more than its age. The carpeting in the hall and rooms is likely past the point when it should have been replaced. The ventilation system needs some upgrading as the scent of the restaurant on the ground floor permeates throughout the building, we were on the 4th floor. In our room none of the USB ports worked and neither could we get a signal for the television, (still not sure if that was a separate paid item or not). One thing that has bugged me about this and a few other hotels I've stayed in recently was the lack of bright lighting. There is no in-room ceiling light except over the front door and even that is minimal, the lamp lights were not very bright and unfortunately we could not open our window blinds fully as our room window faced a neighbouring room window on the corner. The curtains were a bit long and covered the heater so we had to tie one up just a bit to get the heat circulating in the room. For a quick overnight the hotel is sufficient.
