Clean and conveniently located within a 5-10 minute walking distance to the Shambles and York Minster. They offered fresh lemon and mint water upon entrance at the bar and the staff were all wonderful! And, it was nice to have the a/c even though the outside temperature wasn’t even much hotter than 75, even in mid-July. The beds, bedding and towels were as usual, wonderful.

Room was bright with a warm summer breeze come through the sigthly open window. We had a love view on the Minster. The room was spacious with a queen size bed. The mattress was soft which aided a good night sleep. The pillows were like clouds fluffy and soft. Clean linen was noted too. The staff were all lovely, everyone that you met would good out their way to support you. We didn’t have breakfast so unable to comment. The bar was open till one in the morning prices was good as well.

Friendly and inviting welcome. The hotel was modern and quirky at the same time. The room was basic but had what you needed to be comfortable. It was a great breakfast with the best scrambled eggs ever! Only down side was that on arrival to breakfast I asked if there was a vegetarian option. I was told everything was laid out and labelled. It wasn’t until I had finished that I noticed a sign saying to speak to a member of staff to order veggie sausage. The guy who was ticking off names on entry to breakfast should have made me aware when I asked him about veggie breakfast.
Would I stay here again? Most definitely and I would also look forward to breakfast😊
The rest of our stay, the staff were friendly and helpful.
