Checked into the hotel, and reception couldn’t be more helpful, I found the room excellent and reception recommended a fantastic place to eat in Chinatown, met the general manager who couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome. Ended up booking more rooms for my return trip in September. Well done punthill little Bourke 👍

Simple but clean and comfortable accommodation, had everything we needed for a one night stay while attending a conference in Melbourne. Staff were warm and welcoming, great communication from the initial booking through to check-out. Excellent proximity to Her Majesty's Theatre if seeing a show there, which we did. Would stay again, great value for money.

Absolute filthy. Basically a hostel room. Bathroom was falling apart, water leaking from every tap. Poor quality room

Rooms needs a good cleaning ! Staff were good very helpful we wanted a room with walk in shower they transferred us to flinders lane Heidi I think did all this with no charge to us !!! Whole premises need a good upgrade/refirbishment

The reception staff was friendly and helpful, especially Blessing as I mentioned to her that the only fault with the room was that the bed mattress was too soft and I had a bad night’s sleep because of it.

The reception was great. However the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows terrible. The apartment was dirty and run down. There was no carpet in the hallway as it looked as if they were renovating and stopped halfway through. Great location but very polluted area. No view from balcony and very dirty.

The room and bathroom was spacious. The bed was comfortable. Convenient location in the middle of Chinatown if you're ok with walking around. The kitchen and bathroom were clean. Staff were helpful and communicative regarding check-in and storing my bags when I didn't have the room. On public holidays the reception hours are limited to 0900-1700, but after hours check in works. Quite a few downsides though. The studios face a laneway used by garbage trucks around sunrise and the noise seeps though the doors and windows. The decor, sofa, carpet, bathroom fittings, and walls were definitely showing their age in terms of design, dirt, wear and tear. It looked they were in the process of renovating their common areas, a process which I hope would extend to the rooms. The crockery was mismatching and chipped. The fridge also wasn't cold enough while the freezer compartment was just a little below freezing. I would suggest not leaving unfinished food out in the open and checking if the fridge is sufficiently cold before storing perishables, just in case.

The only good thing about our stay was the reception staff. Although they were sympathetic to our room condition complaints they were unable/ unwilling to offer us a change of accommodation

Good location

Affordable for the CBD. Rooms are dating but no issues. It’s a good part of town generally, but the square out the front does get a bit of vagrancy.
