This was a solid but not wonderful stay. The room was very typical european in that it was small and cramped and the shower was tiny. That wasn't a huge issue, though because that is what's expected in Europe. My bigger gripe was that I got my period one of the nights and bled on the sheets and they didn't get changed. They just made the bed over the stain, which was kind of icky. Also the toilet lid would always fall on us while we were using the toilet and it didn't like to stay up. Thankfully we weren't men trying to stand and use it, but it was annoying for us at least. All that being said, the front desk staff was wonderful and helpful. I even saw one of the staff members helping some women book a bus ticket on their phone, which is definitely above and beyond. And overall the hotel did what it needed to do for us. It was comfortable and safe, so no major complaints.

Excellent location, and very nice staff of this hotel. A rather old and requiring some refreshing interior. But a nice stay, overall.

Nice and cozy

Best thing about this hotel is the location right in the heart of city of Helsinki. Walking distance from Ateneum, central train station and all of city center.

Excellent staff and service, room was clean and comfortable for what we needed. Location was great walking distance to trains, buses and stores.

Stay for 4 nights. Easy access to central railway station and popular tourist sites around city.

Large room with large bed

Room came with air con. Which I couldn’t turn off. Set fan to 0 but still made a noise. And for a light sleeper was not good. Shelving next to toilet which was a potential hazard. New silicone required around shower area. No plug for basin. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice.
