Hotel is located in the old French quarter, prefect location to local shops and restaurants. Walking within the area is safe, we never had an issues. The staff is great, very helpful, they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

The pictures on Expedia are deceiving. The rooms are tiny, the breakfast was meager and the prices in the bar were outrageously expensive. We only stayed one of the two nights originally booked. Not even remotely worth what we paid - do not recommend staying here.

Beautiful & clean hotel located right in the city center, walkable distance to all the local attractions and shopping.

I’ll preface by stating that I’ve been to Hanoi Old Quarter at least 10 times on business. I typically have a weekend during my VN business travel, so will spend a few nights in Hanoi Old Quarter to eat good pizza and burgers :). I usually try to book a different hotel each time, so I can “try them all out”. Hanoi has so many hotels to choose from, that it makes sense to try them out. This trip was different. I brought my family with me, so more of a working vacation. They’d never seen Hanoi, so I booked a little bit “nicer” place than the typical $60 USD hotel I typically book. I booked joining rooms so our adult kids could have their own room. I went early to check in, so when they arrived, everything would be ready (VN hotels like to make check-in a special process, taking about a half hour). I knew I was early, but figured at least one of the rooms would ready early, so I could drop my luggage and maybe even take a nap before the fam showed up that evening. Nope. Only a window view room was available (they had put us in two, windowless rooms for our 2, 4 night bookings) for an extra charge. Using credit card? Extra charge. 2 room keys (so you could use one to keep the AC running in the room)? Nope, only one key per room. In the end, our rooms weren’t adjoining rooms, one of them was windowless, and we constantly had to have the front desk let us into our rooms because of the single key “rule”. While Madevi wasn’t bad, Hanoi has many better options.

The room was small but clean and in a really good location.

Bed and location are good. Breakfast will as good as well and varied.

We travelled to Hanoi for the first time ever to Vietnam from our home in Canada. We were both amazed by the quality of both the service and the room. Our Canadian hotels can’t even compare! The staff were always greeting us warmly and our room was remade every day and our breakfast was amazing and had a lot to choose from. The fresh fruit and coffee were delicious! The hotel was located on a smaller and quieter street but still right in the middle of all the Old Quarter locations. Everything was walkable. Both my daughter and myself never felt unsafe.

Whilst the room was clean, the hotel had a funny smell to it. Our room had an internal window which looked out to a wall. When I asked about upgrading to a room with a window. I was shown a room which overlooked a dark dirty alley. This room smelt too! The staff were polite and professional but I would not class this as a 5 star hotel. The area also was like “Benidorm on crack” during the weekends which was a shock when we arrived. 3 minutes after leaving our hotel my partner was offered weed, and after 7 minutes was offered coke and a woman! There is actually a weed bar across the road from the hotel too… Airport shuttle was fine leaving but on arrival due to the traffic the driver parked us 5 minutes away and we had to walk through the streets with our luggage. WiFi was good

Really clean boutique hotel in the heart of Old Quarter- walking distance to cafes, restaurants and the amazing Banh Mi 25! Staff is really helpful and nice. Buffet breakfast is limited, especially for vegetarians.
