Fabulous hotel with a historic ambience and modern amenities – including a fancy bidet toilet!

Amazing property! Must stay!

We arrived with no expectations, but the entire experience turned out to be truly wonderful. From the warm and attentive staff to the relaxing spa, everything exceeded what we had imagined. The food was exceptional—whether it was the delicious Sattu Paratha at breakfast, the flavorful dinner thali, or the beautifully curated 10-course tasting menu. The highlights didn’t stop there. The Banarasi paan was the perfect finishing touch, and the cultural experiences added so much charm—from soulful sitar and sarangi performances to the captivating Kathak dance and even an insightful session with the astrologer. The location itself was magical. The boat ride along the ghats, the genuine care from the staff, and the breathtaking night-time Maha Aarti viewed from the boat made for an unforgettable, mesmerizing experience. This entire journey has left me with a deep desire to return to Varanasi again and again.

It’s a beautiful property in a great location. What stood out are all of the little treats and gifts and events etc for all guests. Makes one feel very welcomed. Staff somewhat disorganised at times and that could be improved.

We booked two rooms in January of 2026. This hotel is an unbelievably beautiful property. We truly felt that we traveled back in time and felt like royalties. The ambiance, amenities, staff, service, food..just WOW !!! Will highly highly recommend this place to anyone who travels to Varanasi. It is right on Ganga ji and they have complementary ferries to any ghat you wish to visit..

We had a wonderful stay at the Brij Rama Palace, the staff were friendly, accommodating and always welcoming. This rustic boutique hotel lends to the history of Banaras and it is an experience to be right on the Ghats and take part in all of the prayers. A big shoutout to Kushi for looking into all our requests. Highly recommend this place for the hospitality and the location.

Amazing place

Brijrama Palace is a stunning heritage palace on the Ganges that delivered exactly the kind of unforgettable stay I had hoped for. Everything about the property – from its architecture and ambience to the views and experiences – feels carefully crafted and truly special. From the moment we were met at the airport by the inimitable Rakesh, we felt completely looked after, and that care continued seamlessly through to our final drop-off. The private boat ride on the Ganga to the hotel’s own ghat set the scene perfectly and made our arrival feel magical. The welcome at the palace and the way the staff greeted us, always with warm, genuine and accommodating smiles, made us feel like treasured guests rather than just visitors. We stayed in the Maharaja Room, which was exceptional: spacious, elegant and full of character, with a gorgeous bathroom and every comfort we could have hoped for. Everything about our stay was truly fit for a king and queen and made us feel as though we were living like royalty. The food was excellent, with delicious dishes that matched the setting, and all the experiences offered through the hotel were thoughtfully curated and thoroughly enjoyable. From the riverside setting to the cultural touches and quiet moments of calm, it all added up to something far more than just a hotel stay. This was an unforgettable experience and one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. Highly, wholeheartedly recommended. Desirée and Iain, Melbourne
