The room was cleaned when we walked in. I'm not usually one to walk about with nothing of my feet in hotels but this hotelmwas clean enough I felt I could. Shower was lovely and welcoming when needed. We had a nice view overlooking all the way to the harbour, the staff where really nice welcoming and friendly. The only thing we are disappointed in was the fact we had to leave and go home! Would recommend this hotel and would stay again when we next visit. 😀

I stayed at Thingholt hotel 2 years ago and again this past week. The staff is friendly and the spa is great. Unfortunately, the gym is limited and in disrepair. It only consists of damaged stationary bikes, weights, and a few other accessories. Additionally, the rooms could use a bit of updating.

It's a boutique hotel so don't expect much. GREAT location. However if you're looking to get some sleep starting Thursday night thru the weekend..forget about it. They party in the street or bar whatever until the wee hours in the morning, it was very loud, lots of screaming yelling singing..we couldn't sleep at all and we were on the 4th floor (which is the top floor). We loved the location as it was right in the heart of everything, however, because of the noise would not stay there again and would rather walk a little further just to get away from the noise. Our rooms were small but clean and comfortable, shower was teeny tiny and the floor gets very wet wheb we shower. Also, the gym just has two things and is a tiny room..the size of our bathroom at home. Hot tub we didn't get to take a look at as the amenities are NOT included with your hotel room, you have to pay extra to have access to them. The breakfast is good...same thing everyday. We stayed there for 6 nights while in Iceland.

Very good and perfect

This property is perfectly located in downtown Reykjavik! They don’t have parking onsite, but street parking is available and easy to find a spot. The staff goes above and beyond to help and give suggestions for local eateries, things to do. Breakfast was a beautiful spread every morning. I would 100% stay here again.

Great location for downtown area and close walk for shopping and dining. Get to know your street map and bus drop locations for taking tours around the island. Not a lot of street signs so use your GPS to navigate
