Hotel must have been nice in its heyday. Unfortunately that must have been a hundred years ago. We had a leaky faucet, rusted sink and a bathtub that should have been retired in the 90’s. The front desk staff was pretty useless - particularly on check-in when they should have offered us the discount card. The balding guy that worked the morning of June 26 was particularly a rude and useless snob. Breakfast was a delight and the views were spectacular, but it didn’t make up for putting us in a corner room near the cleaning closets - especially when there were other more pleasant room available.

I completely recommend this place. It has a great location, beautiful views and excellent pianist and singer. Great breakfast. No facility to wash your clothes, but they can do it for you at their price. Also, I would like to recognize the great job the waiters do at breakfast.

Pros: Location very close to station. Breakfast was good with a large spread. Cons: Room gets very hot and stuffy and staff was no help in providing a fan, opening windows at night only did so much. Room and building very outdated, had one plug in the room, staircase up no lights and dark, stained carpets. Bathtub is a hazard, very high step in/out with no railing to hold onto.

Wonderful location and a beautiful old-style ski-resort hotel. The views are stunning. Only a 4 minute walk from the train station. We would recommend this hotel with only one caveat...there is no AC and it was very hot in mid-June. (We had to sleep with windows open which let in a couple of flies that bugged us all night!) I hate to think what it would be like in August. Lovely staff and nice meal with an incredible view

The property was outdated.

This property was a true gem passed through families. The staff were so kind and welcoming, I loved hearing their stories! They have a precious dog on the property who has been there for 17 years! A lovely dinner restaurant with delicious food! The hotel is beautiful still being part of history and keeping it that way!

Our room was quite dated, which I guess I should've expected from the pictures. The carpet in our room was extremely worn, and several contact lenses were on the carpet when we arrived in the room, so the carpet in the room had not been properly vacuumed. The bathroom was clean and new although small. Honestly, the best part was the view from the balcony. And the coffee maker was a nice bonus. Breakfast was pretty good - we didn't eat in the restaurant for dinner. The elevator broke down in the morning we were leaving. And then I said I probably wouldn't stay there again. I probably wouldnt stay there again.

We loved our stay at Hotel Regina Wengen! The views were incredible and it was a short distance from the cable car to Grindelwald which was perfect for our needs!
