Everything Ok.

Great location

Had a great time. The staff were super helpful. The breakfast was nice daily. Room was comfortable but the ac seem to not be as cool sometime during in the nights.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by an intimidating, unfriendly security guard outside, which gave us the impression that we were in a bad area. The front desk person was really nice. We booked a room with two queen beds but were given one queen bed with a sofa bed. The sofa bed mattress was extremely thin, you could feel the springs, which made it very uncomfortable, & difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The air conditioning barely worked. I called the front desk, and someone came to service it, but it made little to no difference. The room remained uncomfortably warm. I had to request proper bedding for the sofa bed twice before it was finally provided. The TV remote did not have batteries. I had to go downstairs and wait while the front desk associate searched for replacements. At checkout, I was unable to receive a receipt because the printer was not working. We had an early flight & were hoping to take have breakfast before leaving. Breakfast was not ready at 7:00 AM. There was a lobby of people waiting for breakfast to open. It was way after 7 before they finally opened breakfast, but it was too late so we had to leave.

The service was excellent, especially at reception, Nacara was very helpful. The hotel was good but could do with a refresh though as it’s quite worn: doors in the room are old and chipped, bathroom outdated etc. But a very good stay overall and staff are great.

The front desk staff were incredible. They were helpful in finding places to eat and ways to get around to various destinations. The breakfast was predictable in a good way and helped start the day off on the right foot. Staff were responsive to requests for towels/bedding. The cold drinks in the lobby in the afternoon/evening were a great way to cool down on those hot days. The location is ideal for navigating the busy streets of Nassau. We had some issues with water coming into the room during a torrential downpour one early morning and housekeeping and maintenance were quick to resolve the problem. We had an evening flight and we were able to store our bags at the hotel until our taxi ride to the airport.

I just stayed here for 3 nights while I was on a solo scuba diving trip in Nassau, and I wanted to like this hotel as it had some positives, but unfortunately it’s not great. First and foremost, the exterior is very dirty and run down, so don’t trust the pictures. The whole building needs to be painted. The hotel is located in a good spot, but it’s very loud as it’s right on the main road. While it’s a downtown location, in Nassau, everything shuts down after the last cruise ship leaves at 4:00pm, and there is really not even a place to eat near the hotel unless you walk to the fish fries. The shady characters at the beach attempted to rip me off by charging $11 for a beer while I was looking for dinner on night one. Also, there is a lot of road noise all night. The hallways are very dark and uninviting, and there are loud AC units everywhere. The room itself was good, clean and not run down. So points for that. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. That’s about it for the positives. For what I paid, I could have stayed at a resort and had a much better experience. I would not recommend this hotel or location. Pay a bit more and stay at a resort.

Airport shuttle is not available, yet it's advertised as an amenity. False advertising.
