We had a mixed experience at this property. The staff was genuinely great—friendly, helpful, and professional from check-in to checkout. They made us feel welcome and were quick to assist with any questions. Unfortunately, the room itself was a big disappointment. Upon entering, we were hit with a very strong, unpleasant odor that smelled exactly like dog poop. It was overwhelming and made the room nearly unbearable to stay in, even after opening windows and running the AC/fan. The smell seemed to be coming from the carpet or possibly previous pet damage that wasn’t properly cleaned. We couldn’t ignore it during our entire stay, which really impacted our comfort. The room appeared clean visually, but that persistent smell raised concerns about deeper cleanliness issues. We didn’t try breakfast or use parking, so I can’t comment on those. If you’re sensitive to odors or traveling with kids, I would recommend asking the hotel about room conditions or recent pet policies before booking. Great staff, but the room smell needs serious attention. Hope this helps other travelers plan better!

The room was great! Great amenities, everything you could need is there. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and breakfast had lots of options.

I was disappointed that the bathroom in Room 363 already had some maintenance issues. The toilet was loose and wobbled every time we used it, and the shower handle was also loose and moved around when adjusting the water temperature. For a newer property, I expected these basic fixtures to be in better condition. The complimentary breakfast was a simple American-style breakfast with a few hot items, which was convenient but nothing particularly special. Overall, the hotel has great potential because it’s clean and well maintained in general, but the maintenance issues in our room definitely affected our experience. Hopefully, management will address these problems soon, as this could easily be a 5-star stay with better attention to detail.

Everything was great specially breakfast

This hotel is perfect for families with young kids. They had s'mores every night which the kids looked forward to doing every night plus the outdoor space was really nice to lounge around at night. Breakfast was included every morning with something for everyone (waffles, eggs, potatoes, toast, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, milk, juices). Their indoor pool was clean and it was nice that we didn't have to sunscreen our kids. The gym felt clean and had all the items to get in a good workout. Location was great easy to get in and out and around. Definitely our go to place to stay while in Big Bear.

Horrible

We only stayed one night because I had a race the next day, but I was able to use the gym and it was wonderful. The pool was wonderful as well as the spot! The staff was super friendly and our room was basically perfect!
