Friendly staff, clean exterior lobby and room, well maintained, and bar downstairs was great.

The floors in the bathroom were dirty and in the shower. The water pressure wasn’t great. The light kept turning off while showering and water kept getting out because the door wouldn’t close all the way. There is no clock or alarm clock. No iron, handheld steamer only. No napkins or paper towels. I needed a band aid and front desk said it would be 20 minutes because security had to open the first aid kit. Unacceptable. Especially if it was really needed. The blanket smelled unwashed. The elevator wouldn’t take us to our floor on some occasions and it was a shaky ride. On the plus side the room is nice. I love the black wall. The soaps smells great.. like orange. Staff is actually friendly. The bar and lounge are great. Quick and easy check in and out. We ate at Serafina and we were happy to see a door from the inside of the hotel to get into the restaurant, great because it was pouring outside.

Fun, funky decor and good location.

The queen bed suite was perfect for our stay! Having the at much room in a hotel for NYC was incredible. I got a nice deal on Expedia if we were to get that again we will definitely stay here again!

The service was amazing!!

Just a wonderful property in the upper west side. A great little breakfast spot and cafe for pastries and coffee that becomes a cool late night cocktail bar. The rooms are good, linens smelled fresh and clean, that’s how I judge many hotels. It’s a great spot in the middle of everything on the upper west side, bars, restaurants, comedy clubs, great bagels and wonderful shopping too. Overall it’s an excellent spot to relax and it fiel felt very, very safe.

Staff, room and hotel overall were wonderful. Free “breakfast” left much to be desired but that is ok :). I do wish it were outlined more specifically that guests would receive a coffee and either a croissant or a bagel only, despite the myriad of seemingly endless pastry options available when you walk up. It’s a bit deceiving. I also feel like you’ve heard this before. I would stay here again in a NY minute, pardon the pun, though. The hotel is beautiful and the price is reasonable and the location is so perfect to where our daughter lives at Columbia. And now that we know this about breakfast—no problem whatsoever. It just feels a little bait-and-switchish is all. Thank you, to the lovely staff of Arthouse! You are top, top notch!!

Clean rooms and helpful staff.

Great hotel - view from room was the only thing lacking but we didn’t pay for the view.

The hotel wasn’t terrible but my frustration was that I put in time when searching for hotels and one of my major decision factors is the bathroom. I do not like shower curtains at hotels. I specifically checked the photos and they all had glass doors in the pictures of the hotel only to get there and there’s a small shower with a curtain instead of door. Yuck! Also, the shower floor was stained and some of the tiles on the wall. I was not happy but I was in and out of the city in a little over 36 hours so whatever. I wouldn’t stay again though because this was misleading. Also, elevators are old I’m guessing because they are creaky and shaky and quite scary.
