Our stay at the Meliá Caribe Beach Resort Punta Cana had both positive and disappointing aspects. Without a doubt, the hotel’s biggest strengths are its location and the beach. They are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. I would give 5 stars for that alone. I also want to recognize the housekeeping team. Our room was kept clean throughout our stay, and they did a very good job. I would give 4 stars for the cleanliness of the room. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the customer service and the dining experience. On several occasions, we felt like we had to repeatedly ask the waitstaff just to receive our drinks or food. The service was slow, inconsistent, and simply did not meet the expectations of a resort of this level. As for the food, it was also below our expectations. The quality and flavor were disappointing, making the overall dining experience one of the weakest parts of our vacation. Overall, I would recommend this resort for its beautiful property, amazing beach, and excellent location. However, if great customer service and good food are important parts of your vacation, this hotel still has a lot of room for improvement. Unfortunately, those shortcomings had a significant impact on our experience and left us with no desire to return.

Me gustó que la habitación estaba cerca de la playa y piscina, pero no me gustó que había mucho calor en la habitación ( pasamos mucha calor al dormir ) También habían unos problemas de electricidad en la habitación ( cuando apagábamos las luces dejaban de funcionar los tomacorrientes para cargar nuestros teléfonos ) También no nos gustó que había desorden en el buffet y se tardaban mucho en darnos agua o ofrecernos alguna bebida. La piscina principal también estaba muy sucia.

We had a wonderful experience at the resort. One of the best parts of our vacation was having the opportunity to experience the Dominican culture and meet such hardworking and kind people. The staff worked very hard every day, and many of them were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The resort was beautiful, and we really enjoyed walking around and exploring the different areas. It was a nice way to appreciate the scenery and enjoy our time there. Overall, we had a great time and created beautiful memories. We appreciate all the hard work from the resort staff who helped make our stay special.

Everything was good, I had an issue with the transportation in the resort, sometimes the wait was too long.

The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, and that’s honestly the only positive thing I can say about our stay. Unfortunately, everything else was a disappointment. The staff were consistently rude and gave the impression that they didn’t want to be there. Our room’s air conditioning did not work for our entire stay. We reported it multiple times, and each time we were told someone would come fix it—but no one ever did. Sleeping in a hot room in Punta Cana is unacceptable. The food was average at best, and dinner at the buffet was extremely frustrating. We had to wait in line for about an hour just to get in. On top of that, check-in was a nightmare. After traveling all day, we waited two hours before we were finally given our room. This was, without a doubt, my worst resort experience in Punta Cana. I would not return, nor would I recommend this resort to anyone unless major improvements are made to their customer service, maintenance, and overall operations. I rarely leave negative reviews, and this is actually the first time I’ve felt compelled to do so. I don’t enjoy criticizing businesses, but I would be doing future guests a disservice if I stayed quiet instead of providing honest feedback. I genuinely hope management takes these concerns seriously because the property has so much potential.
