The transport arrives on time to pick us from the hotel to the ocean park. We have a great day at the park itself, watching the animal shows and learning about protecting the environment. It will be more suitable to bring the kids here for a day out. No issue with the transport picking us from the ocean park back to the hotel at 5pm.
As a single guy, don't know if I'd feel the same, but with my two-year-old, it was great. They've got a pretty cool dolphin show, a carnival-esque parade that my daughter just ~loved~, a huge ferris wheel and cable car at no extra cost, and an outstanding aquarium. Seriously - that aquarium is ~not~ to be missed! I heard Taiwanese complaining about the price, but compared to what you'd pay in the US and what their overhead must be, this place is a great value if you ask me.
Spent a day at Farglory Ocean Park. It closes at 5 pm. It has exhibition, aquariums, rides for children a few shows. The souvenir shops has some interesting things and food is easily available. There are local food, Asian food, fast food and pizza. The dolphine and sealion shows were great and well choreographed. Comparable if not better than the one at underworld world sentosa and singapore zoo, each lasting from 20 to 30 min. They also have one indoor show which presents dance, acrobat and stuns which was interesting and fun. The rides are not new and mostly are for children. There is one that is more exciting and prepared to get splashed. The only cons about the park is that it is built on a mountain and escalator is available for the first few level. There are some lifts but im not too sure if they are available at all levels. The flights of steps could be as high as the one at hollywood universal studio.
Just enough to fill one day if you watch all of the shows. It was clean and we'll run. The views were spectacular. Many rides suitable for young children (ours are 8,7 & 5). We were expecting crowds as we visited during the Chinese New Year holiday, but the lines were very short.
We had a blast there with our kids 3 and 5. Even my parents enjoyed themselves. We were there from 930 til 5pm and time passed so quickly when you are having fun. It was entertaining and also eduacational. We watched the dolphin and sea lion performances, took some rides, attended a talk which told you everything you ever need to know about dolphins, and watched the feeding at the aquarium etc, none of which we required queuing!!! The best part of this theme park is the spectacular scenery which we did all these. Facing the ocean pacific in front, and backed by mountains in the backdrop, it was amazing...
