The STRAT is an older hotel that has been renovated to give it a more modern look. I upgraded to a newly renovated King Suite, which was spacious, clean, and comfortable. However, it lacked some expected amenities, like a lighted beauty mirror, and there was occasionally a sewer odor coming from the bathroom drains. I was also disappointed to learn that the luxury suites shown in promotional photos are reserved for elite guests.
The highlight of my stay was dining at Top of the World. The food was excellent, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the views were breathtaking. It was absolutely worth every penny.
Most restaurants closed around 11 p.m., leaving McDonald’s as the only late-night option. I also missed out on the adults-only Pool 24 since it’s only open Friday through Sunday. Overall, I had a great stay and would return. One tip: the area around the hotel isn’t ideal for walking, so I recommend driving or using rideshare services.
