We stayed at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah for two nights. The hotel staff were very kind and professional, and I especially want to mention Omar at the front desk, who welcomed us warmly and offered us a complimentary room upgrade at check-in. We appreciated the gesture and were happy to accept it.
Unfortunately, the room itself had a strong cigarette smoke smell when we entered. Housekeeping brought an air purifier and air freshener spray, and we let the purifier run for about five hours, but the smell did not improve. Around midnight, we had to request a room change.
The hotel moved us to another room, but after one night, AC condensate water began leaking from the ceiling, so we had to ask for help again on the second night.
Overall, the service from the hotel staff was friendly and attentive, but the room condition and maintenance were disappointing for a hotel at this level. The hospitality was good, but the hardware and upkeep did not meet expectations.
