Solo stay

I highly recommend this hostel. Staying at a hostel is not something I've done, but this was a lovely experience. The staff are helpful and cheerful and kind. The place is clean and well equipped and filled with homey joy. It was exactly what I needed as a female traveling alone with a long layover in Iceland. I would definitely repeat this experience.

The staff were fantastic, checking in at two am and being greeted enthusiastically. Everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet was quite good and starting at four am is a bonus for anyone leaving early. I would definitely recommend this hotel/hostel.

Very simple accommodations but perfect if you want to nap during a long layover or before/after a long flight before exploring the rest of the Iceland

Was just an overnight stop on the way to the airport. Although there's no airport shuttle they were happy to arrange a taxi and even arranged for us to share with another guest who was going to the airport at the same time
