Got lucky enough to get room with view of canal. Room lacked a lot. Very minimal room. 42 winding stairs to 1st floor rooms. Bringing luggage up stairs was tough. Couldn’t turn heat on for 40’s cool sleep. Bed very firm and not too comfortable. Bathroom mirror tough to use unless at least 5’9” tall. Tv remote did not turn tv on. No onsite staff to get help. Minimal what’s app communication only.

Unit was easy to access and clean. A kettle would’ve been a nice touch to make a coffee.
Lots of stairs, but once you are there the view of the canal is fantastic.

Mas mababa sa karaniwan The most redeeming quality was the view and location to bus and train station. Can really call it a touristy area because all of Venice is touristy.
It was a very small room on the first level above a restaurant so the room smelled like bread yeast, vomit, and garlic all day and night. From very early in the morning you can hear the restaurant cooking and pounding loudly making the walls and windows shake.
Towels did not smell good but bedding was clean. On one of the days the shower was out of hot water by 9:30am
Note there is no elevator and many steps to the rooms.
The room did have an iron and hairdryer but I didn’t test to see if either work.
The room was extremely cold because it is on the water and windows are wood. The heater was complicated without instructions and could not get the room warmer than 21°c
Easy number code access, but no one on site. More like a very simple air bnb than a hotel. You have to pay the city tax before they give you the room code. Add roughly $25 to your budget for this tax.
Overall would find a nicer hotel with better accommodations and an onsite staff if I returned to the city.

The location is excellent (five-minute walk from the bus station). The entrance is sketchy and on the side of a restaurant. We did not see any staff as there is no front desk. While the room is very spacious, the bed needs to be replaced.

The location was really good, across from the railway station, just what we needed. The room itself was spacious and had many amenities such as a full kitchen and communal area where you could relax. The bedroom and bed was large and comfortable apart from the pillows that were a bit solid! The place needs some money investing in it. You can see where some repairs were done but not well! There was coving missing and the paint didn’t blend. There were issues with floor, it had holes in it where stones were loose and cracks in the wall. The bathroom was functional but again needs investment. There were temperature controls in the room but these could not be adjusted so there was no working AC, the room was very warm. The TV did not work, it wouldn’t turn on, I did inform the host and they said they would fix it for the next guest. Whilst we didn’t need it, someone might have been more annoyed. Communication with the host was good, I am sure if I insisted someone fix the TV same day they would have. All of my questions were answered promptly. Check out time is a little early at 10am but just dealt with it. Overall, it was an okay stay, it did the job, just don’t expect perfection.

The room looked fine online but looks can be deceiving. The wall behind the bed is filthy don’t think it’s been washed in years. The shower grout lines are black in many areas, black mold? No drinking glasses not even in the common area. So don’t buy a bottle of wine unless you are ok with drinking it directly from the bottle! Location was fine as it is directly on the grand canal. No view from our window. We were in room 4. Mattress and pillows were hard as rock! Oh and many many stairs to navigate and some of the metal rods that hold the carpet are loose and in the middle of the step, we kept kicking them back so we didn’t trip on them. All in all stay away….stay far far away!

I don’t think AC worked. Didn’t see any controls anywhere. Entrance looks like you are walking into a very rough place but rooms are clean and presentable, but very basic. Supplies are extremely minimal. No food items whatsoever. I did not compare prices, so I cannot speak for value. The location was excellent, and we felt safe. Door and walls are paper thin. That all said, we did have a nice stay!

Our room wasn’t clean, we were told 30 minutes after our check-in that our room was ready. The room wasn’t touched after the people who stayed there before us, piles of towels, etc. When we contacted the staff, the front desk lady was super rude to us. We waited about 45 minutes in the hallway for someone to come and clean the room.
