Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended We had a wonderful stay at GRAND HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi. From the moment we checked in until the day we checked out, the entire hotel team was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. What really stood out to us was the hospitality shown by everyone we encountered — from the bellboys and reception team to housekeeping, as well as the staff at the restaurant and bar. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a great experience and truly felt well taken care of. Definitely worth the stay, and we would happily stay at GRAND HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi again on our next visit to Hanoi.

Solo stay

A wonderful stay. The staff are all warm and welcoming, and everything is very clean. The rooftop bar offers an incredible view of the nearby cathedral lit up beautifully at night. The breakfast buffet includes local and Western options. And the location within the Old Quarter is perfect.

Very convenient location to all the local sights and many shops and eateries! Highly recommend for the location. The hotel was also very nice, clean and accommodating - great AC, live music on the roof on certain days and good breakfast selection. The staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. Erin, Ben and Chloe and Abby made our stay very memorable and fun (:

We had a fabulous couple of days at Hotel Du Lac. Best location in the heart of old town with beautiful views of the Cathedral. Special thanks to the breakfast chef. We have stayed in many good hotels across Vietnam but rate breakfasts here as one of the best. From freshly carved Jamon to beautiful yoghurt, fruits and Eggs Hollandaise everything was delicious and good quality. The staff are so nice and friendly - we went to a hidden Pho restaurant popular with locals and bypassing the Insta fads with queues snaking down the street. A beautiful facial at La Maison the inhouse spa rounded off a perfect visit. Highly recommended hotel.

We spent a lovely few days in Hanoi at the hotel. Staff were so helpful and friendly. The pool was a bonus with our granddaughter! The hotel is centrally positioned in the old Quarter, near the cathedral. A great choice if you are in Hanoi!

The property and the staff are wonderful. The location of the hotel is also a plus. It’s close to the lake , shopping and sites. The rooftop pool is a welcome oasis when the weather is muggy. Breakfast options were wonderful.
