Even as total beginners, we felt encouraged every step of the way—with constant smiles and clear guidance. And guess what? I actually hit the bullseye—and got to take the target home as a souvenir! 🎯 Professional, heartfelt, and totally worth it. That was amazing! I wish we’d had more time in Kyoto so we could’ve come back again! 😭💕 I came with friends and was nervous I’d be too clumsy to learn—but totally overthought it! This place is perfect for beginners. The staff were super kind, clear, and down-to-earth—making the whole lesson fun and full of laughter. 🌟 All instructors are real kyudo practitioners who genuinely care about sharing Japanese archery tradition. Ich hatte im Urlaub schon mal Western-Style Bogenschießen gemacht und wollte dementsprechend unbedingt Kyudo ausprobieren. Der Rest der Gruppe hatte sich etwas verspätet, weswegen ich am Anfang Einzelunterricht hatte. Es wurden zuerst die verschiedenen Arten von Kyudo erklärt und dann die 5 Positionen, die man vor dem Schuss einnimmt, mithilfe von Videos und Bildern erklärt. Dann wurde ein Schuss demonstriert und dann durfte man schon selbst ran. Ich bekam ganz viel Hilfestellung und ich habe ganz viele Pfeile mit Unterstützung abgeschossen. Jeder schießt mit rechts, das hat trotzdem gut funktioniert, obwohl ich Linkshänderin bin. Es war eine ganz tolle Erfahrung, kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!

Our family had a great time learning Japense archery! Miku was great and very patient teaching us how to properly hold the bow and arrows and how to shoot. Would definitely do this again!

Really good fun and very interesting to learn about kyudo. Very fun challenge as well, and I’ll certainly be back if my wish is fulfilled
