Mga Review
this was such an exceptional experience - from start to finish. NIN Studio provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in an aspect of Japanese culture that is truly intriguing. The opportunity to create your own steel Kunai, engraved with kanji of your choice, is both humbling and satisfying. To see your creation bathe in the flame of the forge is almost primal - it is an occasion you will never forget. if it is your first time in Kyoto, and you have an interest in martial arts or Japanese history - this is an unequivocal “must do” after a day of exploring temples and shrines. the English speaking staff are kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely committed to ensuring you create your very own piece of history.
Had no expectations for this other than we were going to make some cool keepsakes. Was blown away by the knowledge of the staff and their willingness to teach us something new, guide us through the process and refine any mistakes or blemishes we may have made. Atsushi and Dotski were especially helpful and skillful. There was no rush to get us out of the facility and food and beer were available afterwards where we were able to sit and talk with fellow patrons and the staff. 100% recommend.
I booked this experience for my friend’s birthday, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my life! It was so much fun dressing up, learning about the history of weapon making, and actually forging our own ninja weapons. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially our instructor, Taka. He was one of the coolest people I’ve ever met—knowledgeable about the history and craftsmanship, and genuinely engaged with everyone throughout the experience. After the experience, I ended up purchasing one of their swords as a souvenir as well! I would highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Kyoto!
Ako was so friendly, knowledgeable and fun! it was such a great experience to make our own kunai and learn about ninjas in a more personal way.
Muy buena experiencia para cuando visitas Kyoto, completamente recomendado y si te dan lo que prometen en la publicación como lo dice ahí. Recomendable llegar con media hora de anticipación para poder estar con calma, ya que si no vas con mucha prisa para empezar.
Such an awesome experience, would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Alredy booked another class with them lol.
This was an absolutely amazing experience. You can tell that the staff truly care about the craft and also want you to have the best time. I did a ninja star and it turned out perfectly. They engraved it for me at no added cost, and I truly appreciated that. It was so amazing to sharpen my blades and then forge the metal with an 1,800° F furnace. The staff wanted safety was a priority while still giving up close access and a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!
it was fun and informative. we learned a lot of really cool facts along the way about Ninjas, the Japanese language, the history of the weapons, and more! we were well cared for and were given clear instructions for each step of the weapon making process. It was a good price for the incredible experience! (if they move locations they will help give you a ride to the new location. don’t be weirded out they have got you in good hands.)
great experience to learn about forging techniques, history of ninjas and samurai and make some beautiful memorabilia. 2 wonderful instructors who were very informative and made the experience worthwhile.
I was a good experience. but unfortunately we are from Canada and are not allowed to bring them home with us because boarder services in Canada still consider it as a weapon
