This was a great experience, I really appreciated learning the meaning behind the tea ceremony itself before the instructor started preparing the match. She took time to explain throughly before we tried making our own tea. It ran a little over on time wise (about 20 mins), but I didn’t mind because the whole experience felt so authentic. I also enjoyed the seasonal sweets (sakura themed ones pictured for sakura season) and dressing up in the kimono for the ceremony.
It was an amazing and authentic tea ceremony experience. I respect the japanese culture more since this peaceful experience. The values they share through this ceremony is enrichment! The teacher went beyond their services, since we left our phone there and she took a train to come see us and give us the phone.
一次完美的茶道体验。爱子老师以她的优雅与专业令人印象深刻。每一个动作都透露出禅意,让人感受到茶道之美不仅在于形式,更在于内心的宁静。 It was a perfect tea ceremony experience. Ms. Aiko, the tea master, impressed me with her elegance and professionalism. Every movement she made embodied the spirit of Zen, revealing that the beauty of the tea ceremony lies not only in its form, but in the calm and mindfulness it inspires.
The tea ceremony was such a peaceful and beautiful experience. Our host was so warm and thoughtful, guiding us through each step with care. Everything—from the setting to the way the tea was prepared—felt calming and intentional. Definitely one of the highlights of the trip!
I was pleasantly surprised to have the opportunity to try on a kimono. The staff was very kind and helped me put it on with great care, which made me really happy. This time, I experienced a tea ceremony. It was my first time learning the etiquette of turning the plate and using kuromoji chopsticks, which felt very new and refreshing. The wagashi were beautifully presented, and the matcha was authentic and delicious. The instructor was very patient and taught everything in detail, allowing me to truly appreciate the beauty of the tea ceremony. If you’re visiting Tokyo, I highly recommend this experience!
Tea Master, Atsuko-san, is patient and very happy to answer questions. Staff Aiko-san and Masayo-san are extremely helpful and competent. All three are very active in helping us take photos offering different props; love it! I highly recommend, even for solo travellers! Activity: Wear kimono, take photos, learn tea drinking etiquette, make matcha, more photos. アツコさん、アイコさん、マサヨさん、皆さんのおかげで素晴らしい経験ができました。本当にありがとうございました!
A Perfect Tea Ceremony Experience Today’s tea ceremony experience was absolutely wonderful and perfect. In Japan, there are many tea houses offering tea ceremony experiences, each with its own unique style depending on the school of tea practice. This time, everything was exceptional—not only was the instructor’s explanation of the tea ceremony itself thorough, but their storytelling about its history was also engaging and insightful. What made this experience even more special was the opportunity to taste authentic Japanese sweets (wagashi). For the first time, I could truly appreciate the difference between freshly made and baked wagashi. This tea ceremony experience was truly unique and highly recommended!
A special and intimate experience I’ll never forget. I’m incredibly grateful that they still pushed through with my booking even though I was the only guest scheduled for that time. It could’ve easily been canceled, but instead, I was welcomed warmly and given the full experience. The tea master was so kind, knowledgeable, and patient. You can really feel their passion not just for the tea, but for sharing the heart behind the tradition. I learned so much more than I expected, from the history and tools to the meaning behind every gesture. It felt like more than just a cultural activity it was peaceful, respectful, and grounding. I walked away with both a warm cup of matcha and a full heart. Highly recommended if you want an authentic and meaningful experience in Tokyo. 🍵
It was a pleasant, very professional, and fun experience. Without a doubt, I would choose this workshop again to learn about the traditional tea ceremony. In addition to preparing the tea, we were treated to two delicious sweets, and at the end, we also enjoyed the kimono experience.
