This was a great place to stay while visiting Nashville for the first time. The hotel is beautiful and cozy. The rooms are also very nice, clean and allowed us to have some good night's sleep. The location is also very nice. It's on the east side, so it's a nice quiet area, but very close to all the great places on the east side, and not so far from the downtown, which you can get with a five-minute Uber/Lift. It has a big parking lot next to the building, which also makes it very adequate if you have a car. The management was very professional and responsive, which is great for a boutique hotel that doesn't have an actual employee in a lobby. We were able to communicate with them and solve a couple of issues very fast and easily. Definitely a highly recommended place. Will look to repeat a stay at the hotel very soon.

I loved every minute in this place! Super clean. Incredible room. Beautiful lobby. They offered everything anyone would need. Close to great venue (the basement). Walking distance to venue, greta coffee shop, and restaurants. A quiet hotel in a gorgeous neighborhood. I'll be back asap

Incredibly clean, unique and stunning design, VERY quiet, and easy/free parking. Attention to detail in the rooms like steamer, robes, hair dryer, and more gave a luxory botique hotel vibe.

Great place for the money, I would move the ice machine to another location, from room 1/6 you can hear everything.

A truly amazing place. Stunningly beautiful, super happy design, amazingly friendly staff, gracious perks and amenities, comfy bed and robes, perfect location in a gorgeous neighborhood two blocks from a natural food store. Can I move in?

The Russell was so clean and beautiful! The location was perfect for us! We loved the coffee bar. I would recommend it to family and friends! No disappointments at all! Great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Nashville!

Loved our stay . Convenient location , great coffee station , beautiful unique property, quiet. Only tho g I would add is the ability to add a mid week clean for those staying longer or towel service . Maybe that was a possibility … and I just missed it ???

Great location.

This is a very quirky hotel, but we loved it. It's strange at first that there is no staff (except when the staff is there to clean the rooms). But they were very responsive when we texted with questions or had a problem (including letting us move to another room in the middle of the night when our air conditioning unit started making a noise that we couldn't stop). The rooms were really well-equipped. And we loved the convenient parking right across the street. It's also really convenient to nearby food, drink and entertainment venues, and a short drive to the downtown area.

First, anyone thinking about staying here, note that interior means NO WINDOWS. It does say that way, way, way at the end of the property details. The primary reason we wished we had windows for our five-day stay was so we could air the room out. While the management said they didn't "notice" a smell, it was pretty bad. I don't know how anyone could not notice it. I went back and read some previous reviews that mentioned the bad smell, so clearly they know about it. They did offer to let us change rooms but they were leaving for the day or the weekend or whatever and we were helping our son move and couldn't make it back to switch. As far as value, this was ridiculous. Three hundred a night for a room that felt like a cave. A smelly one. As far as cleaniness, I put on a pair of white socks, fresh out of the laundry, and walked across the room to sit down to put my shoes on. In those few feet, the bottom of my socks were filthy, that tells you more about cleaniness than any adjectives could. Also, beware of putting anything in the fridge unless you intentionally want to freeze whatever it is. While I admire their mission, that isn't why we stayed there. Perhaps they might want to consider that putting a few more dollars toward keeping their rooms cleaner might result in more return visitors.
