I had a very enjoyable stay at Dormy Inn Ueno and would happily stay here again. The hotel is in an excellent location, just a short walk from Ueno Station, making it ideal for exploring Tokyo and travelling around Japan.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the hotel's excellent facilities, which made the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable.
Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo. I am giving it 4 stars because, while the stay was very good overall, there is still a little room for improvement. Nevertheless, it offers excellent value for money and I would definitely stay here again.

I love Dormy Inn chain, this one is a gem, I especially love the hot sauna and cold plunge.

พอใช้เข้าพักพร้อมเด็ก
This was our 2nd Dormy inn. Very disappointing because our room was very small. This is typical in Japan but our other Dormy was larger.
Our hall light never went off so I needed to unscrew the lightbulb in order to turn the lights out to sleep. I’m very familiar with Japanese and international hotels so the issue was not with the key card, light switches, etc.
Also, our air conditioning worked okay but it was dripping water all night making noise. I placed a cup under so it would catch the water but it was very loud. It literally dripped all night.
The onsen was okay. Clean but not great, older and very used. The sauna was nice and hot.
I would not come back here. Staff were nice but didn’t do anything for a bad night.

Breakfast was awesome, traditional Japanese with a slight twist of western; the onsen and sauna though small but sufficient, definitely a treat to relaxation, on top of that with free ice cream and yogurt drink. Then the late night ramen a very nice touch. Except for the super slow elevator and AC a bit loud, overall the stay was over my expectations.

Really great spot and location. Great staff who are always helpful. I liked that the wifi worked really well in my room so I could take a meeting. The one thing I wish about the hotel was having another elevator because it could take a long time to get up or down.

Very nice clean hotel with bilingual staff. Free ramen from 21:30h. Also nice onsen. The room was quite large enough for two people for sure. Overall can't complain. Great location, easy to take skyliner to Narita.

Dormy Inn Ueno Okachimachi is a solid option for its price range and location, but with a few areas that could be improved.
The location is convenient, and the hotel offers good value for what you pay. The room was small, which is expected in Tokyo, but functional. The hotel provides some nice touches such as a welcome snack in the fridge and complimentary noodles in the evening (which many guests may appreciate).
The check-in and check-out process is automated, but the staff were present and helpful when needed, which made the experience smooth.
Breakfast was acceptable but relatively basic and the dining area was quite small. Compared to other hotels I stayed at during this trip, it was not a highlight.
One area that could be improved is cleanliness. While the room generally appeared clean, the bedsheets did not feel as fresh as expected, which slightly affected my overall impression.
Overall, for its category and price, the hotel delivers a reasonable stay with good service, but there is room for improvement in attention to detail.
