The onsen at this hotel was excellent and they had laundry that was useful. The location was also convenient, short walk to the train station and close to all the Akihabara shops and restaurants. The breakfast was traditional japanese breakfast but on the pricey side so eating out was better value. The big downside was that this hotel was very dated, and felt like it was 50 years old and never renovated. For that reason alone I would not stay here again, since there are many other hotels in Tokyo in this price range to choose from. But overall, we did not hate out stay if you can forget about how old this hotel is.

Staff were super helpful, hotel wasn’t far from a train station and they held our luggage for us days ahead and when we left to sightsee for a bit. My partner and I really enjoyed the room and amenities that were provided. Can’t praise enough how lovely the baths were along with the free washing machines, ice cream and late night ramen + drink. Super excited to stay here again!

Very cute hotel in a great location (especially if you love anime, manga and gaming culture)! Tattoos need to be covered to use the onsen but they provided stickers. I have a half upper arm sleeve that was too large to be covered with 1 sticker but they provided multiple stickers for me to use. I do recommend buying your own stickers though, because the provided ones leave a sticky residue.

I’ve stayed at several Dormy Inns across Japan; it’s my go-to hotel. Akihabara’s is in a very good location: close to a major station and lots of shopping but not directly on top of either.
The property and room layout is different from all other Dormys, so I imagine it was repurposed from a previous owner. The bathroom and the kitchen area are rather strange. It’s a less comforting setup, feels older. But the bed is still nice and we enjoyed our stay.
The lobby is quite small but with only 7 floors of guest rooms it wasn’t a problem. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The on-property onsen - a major reason I’m a Dormy fan - was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, I used it too late to hop in the sauna, but the outdoor bathing area is breathtaking!
The Ikebukuro Dormy Inn location is still my favorite, but I much prefer Akihabara’s to the Ueno location. Again, the rooms are slightly odd/old-feeling, but I’ll happily stay again (and for longer).

ยอดเยี่ยม Basic, clean room, but also there was enough space for 1 person to leave large luggage open while still have space to move around, so that was nice.
The communal bath was also nice. I appreciated the complimentary ice cream after having a bath. They also have a vending machine with nice cold bottled milk and coffee milk, would recommend buying after your nice hot bath as well!
They also had a Japanese manga library where you could borrow up to 5 to read in your room, so that was also pretty neat.
Would consider staying again if I'm in the area.

Free onsen hot tub on the top floor and the hotel offered new and clean towel everyday upon request.
The staff are helpful and they offered luggage storage after checking out.
