The Originals City, Hôtel Marseille Aéroport

There are cockroaches in the room, and bed bugs. Be carful.

There was unclear communication from the staff about where to meet at the airport for the shuttle and that the shuttle would not say "The Originals" on it, but instead a third company. The location is a little sketchy which made me very thankful for the security fence around the property. The restaurant offered amazing cold offerings on a buffet, however we were unable to enter the restaurant until 1900. There was not a shuttle available for our early morning flight, however the staff helped coordinate a taxi.

This was a 12 hour layover stopping spot. Nothing more if you are looking g for barebones budget. I’d you are over 120 pounds the shower is small.

We only arrived later in the evening, slept and then continued on our trip the next morning.

Very bad customer service at the front desk. They really don't care. First, no response to my messages on Expedia. I asked to arrange for the shuttle bus, but they completely ignored me. I ride the bus, then walk 20 minutes to reach the hotel. When I arrived, the lady carelessly said, you have to call us... (How will I call you if I don't have a local phone number?) ... Second, I asked them immediately to arrange for the shuttle bus to go back to the airport tomorrow, but she said there is no shuttle service during the weekend... Only Taxi, and we can call Taxi for you. I said clearly: can I get a taxi at 3:00 am for my flight, she said yes no problem, that was at 11:00 AM. Then at 7:00 PM, I went to the front to confirm that the other lady also said yes, we can call a taxi for you at 3:00 AM. And now guess what, at 3:00 AM I went to the front desk to get a taxi, but the gentleman said, no taxi at 3:00 am you have to book it earlier... Towels were very old and not clean enough to be used.. No slippers in the bathroom. They mentioned they have snacks available on the weekend. When I asked about it, the front desk said not available today. Such a terrible experience for the first time in my entire life

Staff was great. Room was small but good.

Everything was great, the staff was nice. The hotel is in much better condition than the Ibis I stayed at next door. The only problem I had was joining the Wifi. I don't know if it was my phone or their connection or the combination of the two. I ended up using my mobile internet instead.

Great two day stay for goofing around Marseille. Close to the airport and train for longer journeys that would be tough for car (parking in most tourist areas is horrible.) Close to grocery stores and some fast food. Simple but clean.

We didn’t find the airport shuttle easily as there was not enough info as to exactly where the shuttle was parked. The bus station directions are not shown at the airport. Perhaps the hotel staff could send the explicit directions on a map?
