This was our second stay at The Tower Hotel. Location is amazing - at the foot of Tower Bridge, a 2-minute walk from the Tower of London, with buses and tube station within a 10-minute walk. Hotel restaurant and room service were expensive, but there were many more affordable options right outside the hotel doors.

The hotel is in a fantastic location right next to the Tower of London, but unfortunately my experience was heavily impacted by a fire on the first morning of my stay. While I fully understand that fires happen and safety must come first, the communication from staff throughout the incident was extremely poor. Guests were left outside for around 40 minutes with no updates, many of us standing in bare feet and pyjamas. We were then told to follow a staff member to another hotel, which resulted in a 40‑minute walk because the staff member led us to the wrong hotel. When we finally arrived, there was no food or drink offered, no information, and staff avoided speaking to guests—turning away or putting their heads down whenever anyone approached. Eventually, when we decided to leave, a staff member casually informed us that we could now return to the original hotel. No apology was given, and no note or acknowledgement was left in the room later that day. We also missed breakfast and received no refund or compensation. In addition, our room (907) had no hot water, the shower didn’t work, and despite reporting it, the issue was never fixed. To add to this, the room was not serviced during our stay. The fire itself is not my issue, but the lack of communication, organisation, and customer service throughout the incident—and the unresolved maintenance and housekeeping problems—made the experience extremely disappointing.

This hotel is in a great location, the views are amazing but the hotel is very tired once you get past the reception area. The reception area is very chaotic, the staff didn't explain anything about the hotel. I was left to Google check out. The bedrooms are clean but very outdated, no plug sockets near the beds and a shower curtain over the bath, I think the location makes up for alot but it's expensive for what you get

We arrived in the late afternoon looking forward to resting after our journey. Unfortunately, we immediately noticed that the bed linens had visible stains & hair on them. Hoping to at least freshen up, we then went to use the shower, only to find more hair there as well. The overall cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. We went to the front desk & requested to speak with the manager. He was polite, apologized, and assured us that our room would be thoroughly cleaned with in couple of hours. Trusting his promise, we left the hotel despite being exhausted & unable to shower. When we returned around 11:00 p.m., we were extremely disappointed to find that nothing had been done. The room was still dirty. Frustrated & tired, we had no choice but to sleep.The following morning, we spoke with the manager again. He apologized sincerely & offered to refund us for half of the first night's stay. Although we did not feel this fairly compensated us for the inconvenience, we accepted the offer after he moved us to a better view. At checkout, the manager informed me that he would contact Expedia & arrange the refund through them. 2 months has now passed, and we have still not received the promised refund. We have attempted to contact the hotel through chat, but our messages have been ignored. We also contacted Expedia, who tried reaching the hotel, but they were ignored as well. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel & would not stay here again unless refunded properly

The rooms were in need of a refresh however they were clean. Had a great view of the Thames.

I will definitely go back here next time I’m in London!

What can I say we had no hot water stuck in a broken lift for 45 mins room was like a box . Bathroom and room was not very clean rust and mould in shower . Need to learn how to clean and dust everywhere. I did speck to staff but my who weekend was not great very over priced. 25 each for breakfast no thank you . Ohhh and no hot water stuck in.
