A Hotel Joo Chiat

Hotel was approximately 15 mins walk from Paya Lebar MRT Station (change at Tanah Marah from Changi airport). Arriving at 9 am I expected to leave my luggage at Reception but was told I could have my room straight away which was a bonus as usual check in time is 3pm. I was able to sight see and return to room around 2pm for a rest and shower. Lots of affordable, interesting restaurants for dinner close to hotel. The Receptionist organised a taxi to the airport (cost around $22 S) at 9pm which arrived promptly. As this was only a short stay between two long flights, the hotel was ideal, clean with good facilities and much cheaper than an airport hotel. Room small and no window (less noise?), but good value. I would probably pay more for more comforts if on a longer stay. As an older woman travelling alone, I felt safe in the area and appreciated the 24 hour helpful staff on Reception.

The shops are conveniently located within just a one-minute walk from the accommodation, making it easy to pick up any necessities or enjoy some local shopping. The room itself was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate my family, including our children. The staff were exceptionally friendly, always ready to assist and provide us with valuable information about the area and activities. Looking back, I genuinely wish I had stayed for a few more days to fully enjoy everything the place had to offer.

convenient but rooms smaller than i was hoping but still acceptable for its price. staff was ok but lots of phone calls went unanswered. overall value for money but not excellent.

I can only speak for the dorm rooms but the mattresses, if you can call them that, are atrociously thin and you basically feel like you're sleeping on wood. I've stayed in many hostels and this is by far the worst sleep I've had in a hostel. Also, the plug outlet for my room wasn't working, and though the front desk was informed multiple times and they said they'd send someone up to fix it, they never did. They offered to have me change beds but moving all of my stuff was more of an inconvenience than what it.was worth. If the staff say they're going to do something than do it.

We stayed during part of the 2025 formula 1 weekend because our accommodation closer to town (Hotel Boss) was booked for some of the nights. Very clean, room was spacious compared to our other accomodation, staff were very friendly and accomodating. The location is further from the city but the rail was close. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Safe, clean and nice staff.

I love this hotel! I had a beautiful, spacious room with a balcony, and the shower was exceptional. The hotel is ideally located close to the MRT line that links the airport to the downtown tourist areas, it's less than half an hour to either, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in the local area. Also, after I checked out of my room, they kindly allowed me to store my luggage at reception while I explored the city, which I really appreciated.
