Eva's Taiko Drumming Workshop was amazing! My wife and I are professional musicians (NOT percussionists), and wanted to learn more about Taiko on our recent trip to Japan, so we booked this workshop. It turned out that we were the only two that had signed up that day, so we got a private lesson with Eva! I can attest that Eva is a musician of the highest caliber; she is a fantastic and knowledable player, and a great teacher, too. She taught us so much in just 90 minutes: all about the various drums and how they're used, techniques for playing the drums, a number of the typical drum grooves used in Taiko, as well as a complete performance routine. She was extremely thorough in how she taught us everything step-by-step, and then how to put everything together. While we were far from perfect, we had a lot of fun getting a glimpse into the world of Taiko in a first-hand, authentic way that we'll never forget! It was a true highlight of our trip, and I'd highly recommend this workshop!!

This was one of my best hands on experiences i've had in my japan vacation, Eva what's very patient and knowledgeable. next time I hope to come back and take this class again with a group of friends

The taiko drumming workshop in Tokyo was absolutely incredible! The taiko instructor Eva was extremely welcoming, patient, and full of energy, making it accessible even for ethnic percussionists like us to jump right in. Appreciating the history of Japanese drumming culture, learning the rhythms and playing together as a trio was an immersive and mesmerising experience. If you’re in Tokyo, this is a must-do activity—you’ll leave with sore arms, a huge smile, and unforgettable memories. 🥁🎶

We had a brilliant time learning Taiko with Eva. We have wanted to try Taiko for a long time and Eva was a great teacher. She explained and demonstrated well to us and although we had to learn quickly, it was a good pace and we got a lot done in our hour and a half. We learned some basic rhythms and then a whole piece we performed as a group. Eva sent the photos and video very quickly after the session. Eva has also been very helpful when I left something at the studio and made it easy for me to pick it up later. Highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to try Taiko.

The teacher was very experienced and patient. The class was intensive and fast-paced, but there was no pressure to perform well and focused on having fun. Because of this, we had an excellent experience and had a great deal of fun.

We had a 3 person Taiko workshop with Eva and as a family that plays music we LOVED it. Eva gave us so much energy and so much passion that we were buzzing for a couple of days afterwards. SO-RE !

This is an exciting Taiko drumming class. The instructor and her assistant spoke fluent English and demonstrated the steps together with all participants. I enjoyed the class and the interaction throughout the course.
