Fresh croissants and coffee delivered to the room every morning! Bathroom was exquisite Adam was an excellent host

Staff are more like concierge, very ready and willing to help with anything, from booking to valet and even carrying our bags up 3 flights of stairs (sidenote warning: this property is not accessible for those needing elevator). Room was clean and delightfully designed and waterfall shower + soaking tub were heavenly. Included shared balcony in quiet residential alley and plenty of space for bags and storage. Also very conveniently located short distance to orange subway line.

The gentleman who helped us throughout our stay was lovely. He was quick to offer assistance with luggage, cold and hot beverages, and delicious croissants. The room was well appointed with a small kitchen including a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, sink, stove, and a coffee maker. The bathroom was impeccably clean and the water pressure in the deep, soaking tub was phenomenal. We very much appreciated the AC which worked very well. The location was perfect for walking to so many restaurants on Saint Denis, including the restaurant attached to the hotel which had a lovely terrace. It’s also very close to a Metro stop and 15-20 minute walk to Mont-Royal Ave. We would stay again!

We stayed here our last night in Montreal before flying home on a 7am flight. We'd stayed in the Old Montreal area for the first part of our visit, and then rented a car to check out the Eastern Townships for three days. Instead of staying at an airport hotel, I looked for a hotel in the Mont Royal/Plateau area and the great reviews made Hotel Katuma an easy choice. We wanted to explore the colorful residential area, eat at the Schwartz Deli, check out the building murals, and have a nice last night dinner. (We easily did that and also mingled with hundreds of World cup fans at a bar to watch a game.) Adam greeted us when we checked in. We've NEVER received such personal help at checkout and he was eager to answer questions on where to walk. He is one in a million as far as we're concerned. There are only nine rooms here but it is connected to their lovely Ethiopian restaurant which we booked for dinner after smelling the enticing spices and being shown the menu. We took Adam's advice and had the tasting menu, which was such a fun experience. We were sold even before he showed us to our room for the night. Wow! We'd have been comfortable there for a month: the bathroom was designed with top quality components as was the whole suite. there was also a sleek counter with everything you needed to cook if you wanted to. I could go on and on, but just know if you want to check out this neighborhood, you can't go wrong here.

The property is in an excellent position in the vibrant Plateau area - close to a variety of restaurants , shops and sights including Mont Royal but what makes the Hotel Kutuma stand out is the staff- always welcoming and helpful- even to the point of standing out in the rain, so you don’t have to , awaiting your taxi. Rooms are unique and well - thought out.It felt like a home in the middle of the city

Had a wonderful stay at Kutuma. Very small hotel, only 8 rooms. But they are beautiful. So amazingly well appointed. Large, functional kitchen, great bathroom including jacuzzi, lots of little touches. Also love the fact that they have individual shampoo and bath gel bottles rather than the gross yuck stuff. Service is great , we were even offered tea and coffee at check in. Location is excellent, next to the subway and Latin quarter. This is a great little gem. Will definitely return

Had a great stay at hotel Kutuma. Shout out to Adam for being a great host! He always made sure we were well taken care of. Room was nice and spacious and clean. Good location as well. Will definitely be back!

Hotel service was excellent! Staff was very helpful. Croissant, juice and coffee is brought to your room every morning. Only drawback is we were on the 4th floor with no elevator.

J’ai adoré mon séjour à l’hôtel Hôtel Kutuma ! Ma chambre, la suite King size, était tellement belle — propre, confortable et vraiment magnifique. On se sent tout de suite bien en arrivant. Le service d’Adam, le gérant, était wow du début à la fin. Super gentil, professionnel et attentionné. Il a vraiment rendu notre séjour encore meilleur. Je donne un gros 10/10, il était incroyable ! Je recommande cet hôtel sans hésiter et j’ai déjà hâte d’y retourner 😊
