Longsheng Rice Terraces

The driver was very punctual and drove smoothly, sharing introductions along the way about Guilin's local characteristics, agricultural products, development history, and the history and background of the Yao and Zhuang ethnic groups. Once inside the scenic area, he also introduced the four terraced fields one by one. Out of the eight people in the van, six went to see the long-hair performance at Hongyao Village, and everyone enjoyed it immensely. Afterward, we had lunch at a restaurant in Hongyao Village. While the food was quite good, it was served very slowly, which cut into the time available for viewing the terraced fields. We recommend heading up to the terraced fields earlier to have lunch at one of the viewing platforms. The Jinkeng Rice Terraces are magnificent and breathtakingly beautiful. We had two hours, which included taking the cable car up to the viewing platform, enjoying the scenery, taking photos, and then taking the cable car back down. We didn't visit during peak season, yet the cable car line took 15 minutes, and the ride itself lasted about 20 minutes each way. This left us with only about 50 minutes at the viewing platform, which felt way too short. If time permits, an ideal approach is to take the cable car up to the viewing platform and then walk back down. This allows you to take in the panoramic view from above while also experiencing firsthand what it feels like to be right among the terraces. The only downside this time was that the vehicle was small and the seat cushions were uncomfortable. There were four tall people in our group who had nowhere to put their knees.

Very nice experience during the trip with our group tour guide蒋家云.She was helpful and able to take care of all the senior during the longji rice terrace journey and explain to us patiently the history of longji. Bus driver also experience and keep us safe till the whole journey,lastly the lunch was superd. I would like to join her group tour again next visit if i have this opportunity.

Layer upon layer of terraces stretches endlessly, presenting a magnificent and peaceful harvest scenery. Climb to the Jinfoding Viewpoint for a full panoramic view of the terraced fields. The golden mountain scenery offers an open view with an amazing atmosphere. The air is clear and perfect for photography. With gentle evening breezes and stunning landscapes, you truly get to witness stunning natural beauty — definitely a must‑visit scenery of the year.
