Om du väljer endast Rilaklostret utan Boyanakyrkan, får du ändå chansen att se utsidan av Boyanakyrkan samt trädgården runt den. Rilaklostret är fantastiskt med sina målningar och det kändes fridfullt där. Kom ihåg att förbereda 50 cent för att använda toaletterna, eller så kan du växla pengar i kaffemaskinen utanför klostret. Resebyrån lade till ytterligare en attraktion efter Boyanakyrkan utan extra kostnad. Sammantaget är det en bra tur, men vi hade föredragit om det fanns tid avsatt för lunch.

Worth the visit. Thank you, Our tour guide Svet was excellent, taking care of us, explaning on every detail, waiting for us to walk back to the bus, not forgetting Nasco our hero who drove us to 3 places and brought us back safely with quite a distance. Biljettbokningen, incheckningen på dagen och rundturen gick smidigt. Eftersom jag inte anmälde mig till någon guidad tur, måste man planera lunch på restauranger eller liknande väl, annars blir det mycket dötid. Trots detta var det en värdefull tur att besöka. Som förbättringsförslag vill jag nämna att bussen var ganska gammal, och det fanns tecken på slitage (defekter) inuti fordonet.

A very affordable day trip with kind and knowledgeable guides! Sonia the English guide was very kind and knowledgeable about the city. There is a lot of uneven cobblestone and steep hills in Plovdiv so wear comfortable shoes. A lot of stores take card but most pop up vendors only take cash.

The round trip was calm and serene, with a stop for coffee and restrooms at the service area. The visit to the Veliko Tarnovo Fortress was spectacular, with various narrations from our guide. In the watchtower, we took photos wearing helmets and axes. We finished at the church, at the highest point. We left for lunch in the city and to explore it. It will be a day to remember.

I was hesitating between taking public transport and booking this tour, but it was totally worth it! The main reason I wasn’t sure about booking the tour was that I thought I’d have to rush through the hike. But it turned out I had plenty of time to enjoy both the hike and the incredible views. Visiting the Seven Rila Lakes ended up being one of the best days I had in Sofia. Absolutely worth it!

Our tour guide, Martin, is knowledgeable and has a good sense of humour. He provided a lot of information regarding the sites that we visited. The tour was well-paced and we had some free time to explore on our own. Plovdiv as the second largest and one of the oldest cities has much to offer. It is worth a visit. The tour company also provided detailed information timely.
