Saker att göra i Taiwan

En av våra dagsturer i grupp ställdes in, men vi kunde ändå åka till Taipei 101 eftersom vi hade bokat biljetter. Detta var en av höjdpunkterna på vår resa till Taiwan. Själv är tornet vackrare och mer storslaget i verkligheten. Att bara titta upp på det från gatan var en syn för gudarna. Youtube-videor och vykort gör det inte rättvisa. Vi hade tillgång till utsiktsvåningen på 89:e våningen och det var det värt. Vi kunde ta bilder innan vi gick på hissen. Den 89:e våningen erbjöd 360-graders utsikt över Taipei och den var fantastisk. Vi var där runt 17:45 till 18:45 och det var perfekt för en vacker solnedgång. Våningen hade en mängd fotogeniska bakgrunder och rekvisita, några bedårande kaféer och godsaker, en souvenirbutik, sektionen med massavstämmare samt hissarna för att åka upp och ner i tornet. Detta var en oförglömlig upplevelse och överträffade lätt några av mina tidigare tornbesök i USA.

Mycket trevlig dagsutflykt. Besökte många vackra och berömda platser. Ett stort tack till vår reseledare (Iris) för all information och hennes vänlighet. Tyvärr följde vi med på turen under en tyfon, så vi kunde inte åka till Yeliou. Vi åkte dock till Heping i stället, vilket också var vackert.

Tour guide Youngshim is the best! Since I was traveling to Taiwan with my mother, I had a lot of worries about the schedule and transportation, but thanks to the guide, it turned out to be a really comfortable and perfect trip! She carefully took care of the itinerary and guided us step-by-step on how to use public transit in an easy-to-understand way, so we were able to spend our time fruitfully without getting lost. I was deeply moved by her kind and professional attitude. If I come to Taiwan again next time, I would definitely want to travel with her again. Thank you so much!

Parking fees are an additional $50 per single entry. There are dining areas throughout the museum where you can bring your own food, or you can purchase food from the museum's restaurants or stalls! The museum offers a lot, including a schedule of activities you can participate in. The children had a great time, and we recommend allocating about 4-5 hours for your visit!

While researching Leofoo Village, I found a package that included both admission and transportation, and it was so great!! We took a 20-passenger van from Ximen Station Exit 5 at 8:45 AM, enjoyed the rides and animal exhibits, and took the 4:30 PM bus back to our accommodation. It was a very comfortable trip, and I had a wonderful time with my child haha. Some reviews said it wasn't crowded, but when I went on Sunday, there were many people dressed up in Halloween costumes. Even with the wait times, we got on all the rides within 10 minutes.

Lala Mountain is a great place to escape the summer heat in Taoyuan. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the park's giant cypress forest, where the gentle slopes of the trails make for an easy walk. As you hike, breathe in the phytoncides from the mountain, cleansing your mind and body, and experience the beauty of the magnificent natural surroundings! The park also features plants such as green maple, red maple, and beech, forming a highly representative forest ecosystem in the mid-altitude mountains of northern Taiwan. Every November and December, the green leaves turn from yellow to red, creating a uniquely romantic and poetic scene. The park is also an important habitat for wildlife such as the Taiwan blue magpie, yellow-bellied fantail, and Formosan serow.

Även om tiden är lite knapp vid varje stopp, gör bekvämligheten att man slipper byta buss eller tåg att det är värt det, särskilt för oss som besöker platsen för första gången. Vår reseledare, Mr. Cheney Cheng, är mycket tillgänglig och guidade oss utmärkt! Rekommenderas starkt för personer som har svårt med riktning och navigation samt för barnfamiljer, äldre och personer med funktionsnedsättning.

We went during a long holiday. After driving there, someone guided us to a large parking lot under the bridge (though it's a bit prone to dust and sand). After crossing the bridge, you arrive at the animal school. The environment is very clean. When the weather is hot, the dining seating area has water mist sprayers and several large electric fans going, so it doesn't feel overly hot. It's quite comfortable. You can sit in the seating area and watch the kids play on the slide (they provide free helmets and protective gear, and just letting the kids play there can keep them occupied for an hour 🤣). There aren't a huge number of animals in the park, but the grounds are quite large and have a very natural, rustic feel, making it feel like a great hike in the mountains. There are still plenty of places to interact with the animals, such as feeding the capybaras, watching the foxes and meerkats, and feeding the horses. Overall, I highly recommend it because the environment is really spacious, clean, and comfortable. There is also a shuttle bus ($20 one-way, free on weekdays), a splash pad for playing in the water, very friendly staff, convenient parking, and plenty of restrooms that are relatively clean. Therefore, if you have children, it is recommended to stay for three to four hours or more (including interactive animal experiences and playing on the slide). The only downside is that the food inside the park is quite expensive, and during the long holiday, the wait was very long (at the small food stand near the slide area, the food took almost an hour). However, there are vending machines available in the park as well.

Taipei Zoo & Maokong Gondola Combo Review Combining the Taipei Zoo with the Maokong Gondola was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Taipei, offering incredible value and seamless booking. We started our morning exploring the zoo’s massive, lush grounds—getting up close with the giant pandas and walking through the impressive Pangolin Dome rainforest. Booking through Klook made entry effortless, letting us skip the main ticket lines using a quick QR code scan, which saved us so much time on a busy day. Right from inside the zoo, we boarded the Maokong Gondola. The 30-minute ride provided breathtaking, panoramic views over the lush mountain canopy and the distant Taipei 101 skyline. Ending the trip with a relaxed pot of local Tieguanyin oolong tea and tea-flavored ice cream at a hillside teahouse made for the perfect afternoon escape from the bustling city center. A must-do experience for families, couples, and solo travelers alike!

Besökte Chimei-museet igår för den efterlängtade specialutställningen "Egyptens konung"! Även om vi hade köpt biljetter online i förväg, behövde vi, eftersom vi inte hade bokat en specifik tidslucka i förväg, ändå dra en nummerlapp och vänta tålmodigt på vår tur för att komma in när vi väl kom fram. Det var lite tråkigt att vi inte fick se pyramiderna och mumierna, och att vi fick spendera lite extra tid i kö, men att få bevittna dyrbara egyptiska artefakter med egna ögon och uppleva den uråldriga civilisationens mystiska charm kändes ändå helt klart värt det. Det var en mycket givande och lärorik resa!

Det var första gången jag besökte Xpark Aquarium, och det var verkligen bekvämt att boka biljetter via Klook. Köpprocessen var inte bara enkel, utan priset var också bättre än att köpa på plats. E-biljetten kunde skannas direkt för inträde, vilket sparade mycket tid. Akvariets utformning var mycket speciell, med varje utställningsområde som kombinerade ljus och ljudeffekter för en uppslukande upplevelse. Populära områden som pingviner, maneter och sälar var mycket attraktiva, och varje hörn var perfekt för fotografering, vilket gjorde det idealiskt för par, familjer eller vänner. Miljön var ren och bekväm, och personalen var mycket vänlig, vilket gjorde besöket smidigt. Jag rekommenderar att besöka på en vardag då det är färre människor, så att man kan njuta av de olika havsdjuren i lugn och ro. Sammantaget var det en rekommenderad utflykt, och jag kommer att köpa biljetter via Klook igen om jag får chansen.
