Vad du kan förvänta dig
Varje person har i sitt hjärta en maträtt som tillräckligt väl kan uttrycka hemlängtan. För Chongqing-bor är det hot pot, inte en trendig restaurang, utan en gammal smak som har gått i arv från generation till generation i deras eget närområde. I den här upplevelsen tar jag dig med för att uppleva Chongqings vackra vyer och smaka på autentisk Jianghu hot pot i lokalbefolkningens hjärtan.
Det finns ett gammalt kinesiskt ordspråk: "En dags plan börjar på morgonen." Vår matresa börjar med frukost. På morgonen börjar vi dagens resplan med en skål äkta Chongqing-nudlar. Chongqing är känt som en 8D-stad, eftersom Chongqings stadsbyggnad och unika arkitektoniska stil kommer att ge alla en magisk känsla. Jag tar dig med för att gå igenom några mycket karakteristiska kvarter för att uppleva lokalbefolkningens livsstil. Du kommer att känna vår frispråkiga attityd till livet och den bekväma livstakten. När tiden går till middagstid går vi tillsammans till en hot pot-restaurang gömd i en bostadsbyggnad. För Chongqing-bor som har höga krav på smak är det en mycket sällsynt sak att en hot pot-restaurang har varit öppen i mer än 20 år.

Upplevelseprocess:
09:30 Vi träffas vid Lianglukou för att äta frukost (äkta Chongqing-nudlar); Cirka 10:30 börjar vi mäta denna magiska och vänliga stad med våra fötter med full energi. Jag tar dig med för att gå igenom några kvarter; Cirka 12:30 tar jag dig till en mystisk hot pot-restaurang som bär på 20 års minnesvärda smaker av gamla Chongqing. Efter lunch går vi tillsammans till en skattkamera plats för att njuta av utsikten över floden i luften

- Slutdestinationen kommer inte att återvända till mötesplatsen, men transporten är bekväm, med tunnelbana, buss och taxistationer i närheten.

I really recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get to know the real CQ like a local. The guide was very passionate about her city and took me to the less well known spots to experience it. She’s also knowledgable enough that she’s able to adapt the tour with reasonable requests. Simialraly the places she took me for breakfast and lunch weee local spots I would never have found on my own. If you like seeing the real side of a city, great food and good company take this tour.
Panda and her colleuge Cathy, were both very wonderful tourguides! They spoke fluent english and brought us to key points of the city while also explaining the rich history. They also helped us with other things that required chinese and were always available on wechat. The food they brought us to were also delicious and well loved spots by locals
The city walk was thoroughly enjoyable as it took us through the old lanes and alleys that tourists generally avoided, giving us intimate glimpses into how the old and traditional co-exists with the new and shining. Cathy, our guide, was friendly, approachable and patient as we trudge slowly up and down the many slopes of this city.

It was a great introduction to Chongqing! We went with Jingxi, who showed us around like a local. We ate at a neighborhood restaurant, explored some popular tourist spots, enjoyed an authentic hotpot lunch, and wrapped up the tour at Liziba Station. The whole experience took about 4 hours and was a fun, easy way to get to know the city. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to eat like a local and understand the soul of the city. Perfect balance of food, culture, and conversation.
I am disappointed Panda wasnt forthcoming that she wasn’t the one who will tour us up to the minute we were chatting with her that we were already on our way to the meeting point. I have booked this 4 months ahead of the trip and was looking forward to it. It was the substitute’s first time to guide and while he was super nice, kind and takes great photos, he unfortunately had a hard time with english and we communicated a lot thru translation app. He also didn’t provide any info or stories on chongqing or the places we went to which for me are just as important in a tour. But he was a really nice person; and the places in the city are interesting and the food’s good so it was still worthwhile..
