The room was excellent, and all of the staff were awesome. The staff were very pleasant and worked with us on trying to find kimono rentals. I will recommend this hotel to families and friends who plan on visiting Kyoto. Plus I would love to thank Tomo san for making our stay memorable. Please give machiya hotels a try. Sleeping on a futon In a tatami room was one of the highlights of our trip, and for those who don't care for sleeping on the floor you can get a western style room that is just as great as the traditional room. We stayed in both.

Great location walking distance to trains, shops and restaurants. Wonderful staff and spotless accommodation. Wonderful Ryokan stay perfect for our Japan trip! Would stay here again! Great experience!

This was the most spacious apartment. We had 6 adults and had room to move which was great. Beds were comfy and there was everything you needed. Check in is self serve so just have to work that out and you are all good to go.

This hôtel is 5 stars the room is perfect close to everything and quiet the people are awsome giving us a lot of good advices and taking a lot of care
