We didn't expect the quality that we received when we booked at the Monte Rosa! We were so pleased- we love to stay in historic places & often they can be less than updated. We had asked for a room with a view of the Matterhorn, not realizing that we booked a suite. And it was worth every penny. Did plenty of hiking all day in the mountains & came back to a very comfortable room with plenty of amenities ( 2 full bathrooms, living area, view of Matterhorn, robes, food & drink treats, and absolutely exceptional staff attention. The restaurant was great, we loved sitting outside. We were there during the heat & kept the windows all open at night to cool things down (no AC in Zermatt). Breakfast was also just spectacular. We'd definitely come again.

The property is in a great location and the staff was warm and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful with a wonderful old world charm and lot a of conveniences as well. Only 2 disappointments during our stay. We booked a room that said it would have a partial view of the Matterhorn which it had none. Upon asking we were told it wasn’t guaranteed and it would cost considerably more $$ to switch to a room with a view. And secondly, we made a reservation for a ride to the train station on our departure date only to find they were taking another party at our time. We were told not to worry but by the time the shuttle returned we had less than 10 minutes until our train was set to leave and we ended up missing our train by 1 minute. We had a. Long day off traveling ahead and this put a real kink in our schedule. The front desk needs a better was to track reservations for their shuttle service I

Hotel staff were professional, attentive, friendly, competent, helpful. Breakfast was well prepared, selection satisfying, staff attentive and professional (best breakfast in our 11-day Switzerland travels). Our room and hotel facilities were immaculate. Our room with mountain (Matterhorn) view was incredible and memorable. We enjoyed it immensely. Highly recommended! Worth it.

The Hotel Monte Rosa in Zermatt is absolutely superb in all respects, especially with regard to the staff. Our spacious suite was excellent. It was also greatly appreciated to have complimentary ground transportation between the train station and the hotel. The complimentary breakfasts in their elegant dining room were excellent as well. Thanks to everyone at the Hotel Monte Rosa for making our stay truly memorable!

Clean room, they gave us the upgrade room top floor with best views of Zermatt city, church with clock tower. Great breakfast and great service, food was excellent and many variety. Staff are very friendly and helpful with amazing services.

Beautiful classic hotel! Breakfast was pretty good! One thing that stands out are the staff, all of them were fantastic! I would definitely come back and stay here again. Plus, bonus the view of the majestic Matterhorn all the time and especially when you wake up! Thank you so much for giving me and my sister a wonderful stay! For the beautiful people of Hotel Monte Rosa, you guys rock!
