Pros 1. Location at Saldanha very well connected. 2. Staff are accommodating & helpful and checkin and checkout was superfast & hassle free 3. Pool & gym facilities. 4. Room was very large and 3 of us had lots of space for bags & moving around. 5. Modern apartment & amenities, don't need to worry. Irons provided and coffee maker was a welcome addition after a long flight. 6. Watched WC matches at the bar. 7. Close to Saldana Atrium mall so welcome relief from heat & diverse food options. Cons: 1. Sound insulation is poor. So as we had a road facing room on 3rd floor, Sounds of traffic and sirens of ambulance, police & fire brigade. Neighbour's door closing can be heard. 2. Air-conditioning is aircooling which was weak & we struggled to sleep well initially. But during the day the room was unbearable & hot . Staff offered kindly to change rooms but we were there for a short stay, so didn't want to inconvenience them. The hotter weather didn't help. Aircon controlled via TV app. Overall good experience. Ear plugs are must for road facing rooms as size is brilliant. The showers & loo are semi transparent with partially frosted glass incase anyone is uncomfortable on privacy issues. The fifth-floor front room we have has amazing views of the city through lush mature trees. Great access to taxis on the street below and easiness for Uber pickups. The room itself is very futuristic, aligning with the hotel name. The visual aesthetics of the room do not match functionality, though. The room has 2 beds: king and twin. A giant round column serves as a privacy marker between beds. The toilet and shower are in different capsule-shaped structures, each barely bigger than a train/ plane bathroom. No privacy even with spouse in room; not ideal for non-intimate travelers. Random sheer curtains provide nothing that enhances privacy. No possibility of a space where lights can be turned on without whole room lighting up. This was really inconvenient when I needed to do work but couldn't because spouse was still sleeping and all lights would have to come on. Floor lamp that matches sconces is cool but not plugged into nearest non-functioning switch. Room has an unforgiving western sun exposure, our first and most substantial concern. Considered moving to another room, but the room options were smaller. We stayed. Heavy duty curtains had to be lowered to keep the room adequately cool but never cold. There is another curtain screen that offers a view and filters sun. Breakfast buffet a plus and reasonably priced at 18 euros. Good pastries and other options.

Perfect Stay!

Modern layout, close to bus stops, metro stations, mall, food places

Our stay was very pleasant. Location is great, the room was very clean and the breakfast was good. The icing on the top was the amazing staff that went out of their way to surprise our daughter with a birthday cake and a song. Thank you so, so much!

Air conditioning doesn’t work and staff doesn’t know how to fix it, apparently they are saving energy reducing the AC, breakfast is very expensive compare to locations around

This is my third time staying at the Evolution Saldanha, and two issues got them a 4 star instead of 5 star rating this time. 1. I was staying with my 11 yo son, and we got one big bed instead of two beds. I should not need to ask to get two beds on a booking with an adult and a minor. 2. My Platinum VIP status gets me a free bottle of wine. I didn't receive it. Otherwise, great! I was only there for one night, and was too tired to complain about either issue. It won't stop my from staying again.

I stay very often at this hotel, very clean, pleasant and convenient.
