Onsen was really nice with fantastic amenities for skincare and hair. Nice property, good location walking distance to the “loop”. Everything was great. Personally I wish buffet breakfast and lunch had more options but my teens liked everything.

Our only disappointment was the room. We were given the furthest ground-floor room, 101, and if we stayed again I wouldn’t accept it. However, if you prefer a closed-in garden view then this location might suit you. Personally, we didn’t enjoy it. My review reflects my personal preference. We had no issues with the other areas of the hotel. In fact, the location was great, right next to the ropeway (cable car station) and at the start and end of the Ashi Lake tour.

Hanaori is excellent. The staff were helpful and we really enjoyed the buffet and private barn in our room.

STUNNING property with the Hakone Ropeway right at its doorstep. We stopped here for a couple of days of rest & relaxation after spending 5 days in Tokyo, and boy did we love every minute of it. From the serene lobby, the outdoor foot soak overlooking the lake and mountains, to the luxury awaiting us in our room (which included a private open air bath). Honestly, we could not have asked for more. A great little spot to unwind in the midst of a busy vacation!
