Dated hotel with tired rooms and average facilities. Maybe I’ve been spoilt, but just felt the hotel is in need of a refurbishment. Hallways smelt of damp / mold and the ac was loud and not effective. The shower would flood the bathroom, which has obviously been a problem from the outset, but no plan to fix (and it wasn’t just our room, but our friends room had same issue with ac and shower). That said, the staff were great and the breakfast offering was plentiful. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again though, option for a more central location at George Town or a resort hotel with its own beach. Double Tree has neither.

Very comfortable as room is bigger than the other hotels. Ambience nice. It would make a cut higher if breakfast is included.

My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights. We liked this hotel very much. The staff were excellent. We had a spacious suite on the 11th floor. The pool was nice ( nicer without the pop music ). It was a nice place to come for relaxation. Only negative was the beach . We want to come back to this Doubletree again anyway because the staff was so welcoming , nice room, pool, and good price. Thank you!

rooms were good & spacious, although bathroom was a little small. the shaving mirror was hanging off the wall which make it hard to use. the room was quite and sleeping was easy. nice pool area with padded loungers. despite the size of the hotel we allways managed to get somewhere to lounge.
