An excellent hotel in Gotanda, near to Shinagawa. We stayed there because of proximity to Haneda airport (about 25 minutes by public transport and 20 minutes by taxi), but were pleased to discover that the Shinagawa / Gotanda area is also quite nice, including a lot of interesting restaurants. The hotel has an excellent public bath that is free for use by guests, including indoor and outdoor baths. While in Gotanda, we visited the reasonably nearby and very impressive Zojo-ji, the founding temple of the Jodo sect of Buddhism and home temple of Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Great location near station, staff at the check in were so helpful and allowed us in a bit earlier. The room was clean and comfortable The onsen was spacious and clean I could not fault this hotel at all and will stay again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room quality was moderately comfortable (highly utilized/worn and some mustiness) similar in quality to a Hampton Inn without the free breakfast.

The breakfast menu was very limited versus other Mitsui garden inns. No fresh fish, limited Japanese side dishes, only omelets with no option to get prepared other ways, etc. staff was not very friendly. I did not want to ask for help. Too grumpy. I would not buy breakfast next time.

One side of the queen bed was against the wall. Hotel is well located, close to the yamanote circular line moving around people in center of Tokyo.

The rooms were clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was close to everything. Travelling with our older kids was easy since they could jump onto the train and go anywhere with ease.
