Coming from Toronto to Paris for the first time we weren’t sure where to book or stay. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel and the area. So many walkable areas, very cute hotel, lovely staff. Would definitely recommend!

Staff was very welcoming and the candy & snack bar is a great perk!

Clean room; friendly staff; reliable wifi and nice mini bar

This was our 2nd stay and the room we got 206 was so much smaller than our 1st room 506. The shower was on an angle and so small in 206, our 1st room the sink was in with the toilet & shower but in 206 it was in the bedroom . Tried to change rooms immediately after check in around 3:00 but was told no rooms were available. Many ppl had not yet checked in so they could have given us another room for sure . The rest was all good .

Surprising gem in the heart of Paris near the Moulin Rouge— loved everything about it- from the helpful staff, to the free snacks to the decent room.

So uniquely decorated!

Building looked very clean and room too. Staff were helpful and let me leave my luggage there before check in. Breakfast was good, plates are at the tables not by the food, I was initially confused. Rooms are also air conditioned which was amazing during the heat wave.

A Small Jewel Near the Moulin Rouge Hotel Joke in Paris was an absolute delight — a small jewel of a hotel just two blocks from the Moulin Rouge and close to excellent restaurants, cafés, and the energy of Montmartre. What truly made the stay special, however, was the staff. They were gracious, helpful, fluent in English, and wonderfully generous in forgiving my terrible French. That kind of warmth makes a business trip feel much less like business. The hotel itself is immaculately clean, stylishly decorated, and full of thoughtful surprises. I have rarely seen such generous amenities: snacks available through much of the day and evening, including chips, sweets, coffee, tea, candies, and refrigerated drinks — all offered at no extra cost. Between the location, the spotless rooms, the charming design, the exceptional staff, and the unusually generous hospitality, Hotel Joke is truly impressive. I would gladly stay there again and recommend it without hesitation.

For a family traveling with a teen, this was the perfect hotel for us. The family connecting room gave us all privacy and the location was perfect for getting to all the sights. Plus loved the neighborhood with great bakeries and restaurants.
