The Bull and The Hide

Nice clean room, aircon was great (we started there when we had the heatwave) clean basin clean bed. Was comfy. quite a small room but it was cosy. Very easy check in. Our room was away from the street and was quiet. Would definitely stay again.

The bar was good nice beer Room nice needs a bit of TLC mind , the in room safe didn't work I even bought new batteries for it tried them several ways to make sure in right but think just very rusty inside the battery part. But all in all nice place nice touch with the drinks and snacks free . My room was all good . Just needs a bit of TLC . But would stay again . I didn't report the safe so it looked locked if you get me . Thanks

Each floor has a pantry with hot and cold drinks and snacks. Room was clean with a great shower. AC was a godsend in the heatwave!

I was disappointed with the Bull and the Hide. Whilst booking the room via e Expedia I only booked one night instead of two, it was my mistake. However, when I tried to contact the Bull and the Hide via their wesite to remedy my mistake and I heard nothing back. I contacted Expedia hoping to extend my stay to two nights and, while I was on line with the Expedia agent, they tried to contact the Bull and the Hide but nobody answered. By the time Expedia got back to me (over 24 hours had passed) and a second night was not available. The Bull and the Hide would not allow me to cancel the original reservation, which was made on June 9, 2026 for a June 21, 2026 stay. This was almost two weeks in advance of my I intended to stay. Like I said it was my mistake on the original booking but given the circumstances I feel the Bull and the Hide could have been a little more forgiving.

This is a great little hotel room in a central location. Easily accessed on the Elizabeth line from Heathrow. The rooms are well looked after, beautifully presented and lots of nice little touches. The only down side is the street noise (to be expected in central London but bring earplugs!)

Had a great stay at The Bull. The room was clean, comfortable bed and well presented, with thoughtful amenities provided including a dental kit, which came in surprisingly handy! The only thing to be aware of is that if you're allocated a room at the top of the stairs, it's quite a climb, especially with luggage. Not a complaint, just something worth noting. Overall, a lovely stay with great attention to detail and guest comfort.

We chose this property because it was convenient to Liverpool St., Station. It’s a straight shot from Heathrow on the Elizabeth line and we had to get to Stansted two days later, so this spot was perfect. For that convenience and for the price, I really cannot complain. We had the Devonshire suite which was spacious with a nice big bathroom and a lovely tub. The bed was comfortable and the bedding, clean and stylish there were a few scuffs on the walls and marks on the carpet from people‘s luggage, but overall the place was clean. The bigger problem was the lack of service the pub/reception desk saw us checked in by a young woman who really didn’t have much to say and when we asked her about why the TV and Wi-Fi didn’t work the answer was pretty much too bad. It didn’t sound like there. Was anyone on hand to come and fix the problems. But for a short stay, it wasn’t a dealbreaker. There’s a fair bit of noise that filters up from the alley below so earplugs are a good idea, but the blackout curtains in the room work well you get what you pay for and for what we paid this was a good deal for us.

Great location, old building but room updated. (No closet). Can be noisy in the evening as the rooms are above the bar overall excellent location, spacious and clean.

The bed was comfortable, but they didnt supply breakfast which was a shock. Many stairs up to the bedroom and paintwork looked a bit tired.

The stay was OK… of course the location was great, just a couple of minutes walk from Liverpool st station, but the stay itself felt a little impersonal. I suppose we were expecting a ‘boutique’ experience from the write up and the photos, but it was somewhat ‘no frills’ in the end, which was a bit disappointing. The staff welcome was adequate but bare minimum. We found out our room was on the top floor - 75 steps up - there had been no warning of this. Luckily we were able to manage this, but I think it could have been an issue for some people and there was no indication from the staff that they would offer to help if needed. Also, on night one we only had enough hot water for one shower, and there was no hot water the next morning. We reported it and it was fixed by the time we came back that afternoon, but again, there was no ‘apology’ or acknowledgment from the staff that there had been a problem. Other small points - the plug in the basin didn’t hold water, the grouting in the shower was a bit grubby and there was thick dust on the lamp shade over the desk. But the bed was very comfortable. Overall, just ‘OK’ considering the cost - and it could have been made better with a little more personal attention from staff .
