The Guesthouse Vancouver Downtown

Do you like sharing a bathroom with every single guest on the floor of the hotel you’re staying in? Well, if so, this is the hotel for you. Front counter staff are like the staff at a halfway house, the rooms are sparse, and the night club across the street is exactly what you want! Including EMS service for more than one patron. Don’t stay here. Keep looking for something else.

It’s close to all the rad venues for shows in Vancouver. Easy in and out , awesome food all over that area and super easy check in check out. It’s on Granville and can be a bit rough some days but for the most part was really chill. Bathrooms were super clean and staff are rad!

It was in a great location

We enjoyed our stay at The Guesthouse, rooms and washrooms were clean. The location was great, would stay here again.

This location was conveniently located and the facilities seemed clean. The price was affordable. The shared restrooms were very only slightly inconvenient in the morning as people like to shower in the morning. However, the rooms were too hot to sleep in. There is an air vent system that is connected to the main air conditioning. The main aircon in the hall works fine, but the vent/fan just allows some cold air to flow through. Its not enough and it won't stay open for extended periods, so you have to keep getting out of bed to open it. The location is in a busy nightlife area, so opening the windows to the cool air outside was not feasible, either. We were able to sleep, but we were uncomfortable. While the bedding was clean, the blue towels had an odor. I was already disgusted, so I did not request an exchange. Night staff was somewhat friendly. Morning staff was very kind, even offering to help me bring down luggage from our 2nd floor room ( which is 3rd floor in American) because there was no elevator.

Room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathrooms were well maintained. The communal kitchen area was clean, organized, and stocked with a great selection of teas. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe during my stay and appreciated the deadbolt on the door. The location was also excellent and very convenient. The outlet beside my bed for the lamp didn’t work, but I was able to easily move the light to the other side of the room. Just something to note: there is no parking or elevator available.

Dean and a great value for the location

This is a hostel. Not clean , shared bathroom. Absolutely awful.

The room was warm for the overnight, but we were able to ask for a fan. The location was great! If you are looking for just location, this is a great place. We were there just for the night, so it served it's purpose. Showers and bathrooms are shared and down a hall, but this was stated when you reserved.
