Upper Berkeley Hotel

Room was clean and air conditioning great to have. Note this is self check in and self check out and was pretty seamless. Only points were I could here

Basic accommodation, the room is quite small, but matches the description. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, the floor in the room didn’t feel super clean, and the bathroom smelled of mildew. Air con was lovely after a long day in the sun. No staff on site but were responsive when I called about an issue with the room. Adequate for a short stay considering location and cost.

Room 6 was a little tired looking, could have done with a lick of paint walls were marked up, The TV couldn't connect to the network, The facilities were pretty good, small fridge, kettle and a good shower, there wasn't any coffee or builders tea only green tea. That said it was reasonable priced for a saturday night in London. Gaining access to the entrance door wasn't very clear, thankfully another person staying in the hotel let us in. The self checkin and issuing on key card once in the hotel was straightforward.

A very nice surprise in the middle of the city! Room was cozy, had a refrigerator, which was a lovely surprise. Easy to check in/out. Easy to walk to Oxford St, transport and grocery shopping (Tesco Express and Waitrose 5/7 min walk away). Nearby cafés and pubs. Safe, secure I would stay again in a heartbeat!

The hotel was easy to access and the room was cool when entering despite the heat wave. The air-conditioning was also easy to use and the location was perfect for the event we had at Hyde Park. We did have some minor issues in the fact it seemed our amenities had not been restocked fully. The body wash in the shower was empty, there was only green tea availabke(not the usual English breakfast/black tea you would expect) and there was no milk. Not enough to ruin a stay but a mild inconvenience that could be worth baring in mind. There are coffee shops around so if you do need a tea or coffee in the morning you won't go entirely without.

Okay for a brief quick stay. There were marks on the wall and bed sheet. Bathroom and coffee was fine. Tv was not connected, bits of the wall were broken. Checking in and out was straightforward. Some others were having problems but I slept in my clothes ans didn’t feel clean enough. and had two air con machines in there??

I'm not sure why people give this place such negative reviews on Google. It's clearly had some money spent on the proprerty and for the location it's competetively priced. Close to Oxford Street/Marble Arch/Hyde Park. A good selection of bars/restaurants nearby and the street is pretty quiet on an evening. It's also very well placed for the Underground - Marble Arch is the nearest, then you have Edgware Road, Bond Street & Marylebone Station a short walk nearby. Pre-arrival, the staff online were attentive in any questions I had, polite and helpful. Instructions for entry were clear. Self-check in was very easy to do and didn't take long at all. Room was clean, spacious and well lit. The room had all the ammenties required - iron, ironing board, two hairdryers, tea making facilities, Smart TV, USB-A & USB-C charging ports and above all, a good air con unit in the room. The en-suite bathroom was in good condition, a good powerful shower and provided shampoo/shower gel. The bed was comfortable and despite hearing the occasional noise from the room next door a good nights sleep was had, even with the air con set to 'night mode'. Sheets were clean and the curtains appeared to be blackout.

Perfect location for exploring. Very clean and cool room which was perfect in the hot weather. Would highly recommend.

Really helpful staff on check in when we called, very cozy room with all the essentials. Best part this week during the heatwave was the A/C which we had to turn off at some points because it got too cold. Only negative was there was a little rubbish down the side of the bed by the window
