Stayed at Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre and unfortunately had a very poor experience. The rooms were extremely small and did not feel representative of a 4 star hotel. It was very difficult to move around in a twin bed room and if you had 2 big suitcases which we did then it was completely impossible. There was a persistent urine-like smell in the room throughout the stay, which made it uncomfortable. The smell was already present when we arrived and no amount of housekeeping made it disappear. Housekeeping was inconsistent, with used glasses not being replaced regularly. The air conditioning was capped at 20C, making the rooms feel very hot and uncomfortable. Breakfast operated a traffic light system showing the busiest times between 7:45am and 9:45am, and during these periods it was very difficult to find a table. If eating later than 9:45am, many of the options available earlier had been replaced with different items, reducing the overall selection. The only real positive was the breakfast, which had good halal options and was the strongest part of the hotel experience. Overall, the room quality, cleanliness concerns, uncomfortable room temperature, and lack of attention to basic housekeeping standards were disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not consider this a 4 star hotel and would not choose to stay here again.

Bathroom way too small. No toilet paper they use Kleenex. Room too small to function. Bathroom had no where to plug hair dryer to fix hair close by had to plug over by desk. It’s right by china town so close to food but not a comfortable stay. I would not stay there again over bathroom and room size.

I was disappointed with the restaurant in the hotel. They serve 3 meals with international menus. Each are buffet style. I only had breakfast and the $38 price wasn’t really worth it.

The right location for everthing. Will b back again.

Muy bien ubicado personal amable y nos ayudaron con todo lo que necesitamos , si bien las habitaciones son pequeñas son lo suficiente para tener una buena estadía.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The amenities were great, the location was excellent, and it was conveniently close to many restaurants and food options. The room was a little small, but it was very clean and well-maintained, which made my stay comfortable. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, I was disappointed with how an issue regarding breakfast was handled. I paid for an additional person’s breakfast, but the information was not updated in their system. As a result, the staff at the restaurant initially would not allow the other person to enter for breakfast. This situation was frustrating and could have been avoided with better communication between departments. Despite this experience, the hotel’s cleanliness, amenities, and convenient location were definite highlights of my stay.
