The Hoxton, Vienna

My husband and I were mostly out and about during our stay so we did not fully utilize the property BUT the beds were so comfortable and yielded a good night’s rest for the 2 nights we stayed.

Good hotel, comfortable rooms in very good location.

Stylish concept, but the actual hotel experience didn’t live up to it We stayed at The Hoxton Vienna at the beginning of our honeymoon, and unfortunately it ended up being one of the disappointments of an otherwise wonderful trip through Austria and Hungary. The Hoxton does some things very well. The branding and overall concept are appealing, the lobby is pleasant, and the rooftop has a genuinely fun atmosphere. The rooftop bar and pool area were lively and probably the strongest part of the property. The pool was extremely crowded when we arrived and we weren’t able to secure loungers, but the overall vibe was still enjoyable. I also want to give the hotel credit for having a room available for us at approximately 10:30 a.m., which was greatly appreciated after traveling. Unfortunately, the guest-room experience was much less impressive. Our initial room was an accessible room, which we had not requested and did not particularly want. After asking to be moved, the hotel accommodated us, but the second room had a persistent musty, damp smell. After spending some time in the room, the likely cause became fairly apparent: the bathroom had no active ventilation or exhaust fan. Moisture simply lingered after showering, and the bathroom and room had the unmistakable damp/mildewy odor that results from inadequate ventilation. It made the room feel considerably less fresh and comfortable than expected. More broadly, the property simply felt older and somewhat dingier than the

Todo estaba buenisimo . Súper bien ubicado para visitar los lugares turísticos. Un pluss es que cuenta con piscina y lo mejor con una vista sumamente hermosa.

Great hotel! Love the design, great vibe and small rooftop pool, loved the cafe in the morning, will definitely stay there again

Great stay but definitely need the option for firmer pillows. Also need a matress topper as I could feel the springs. The only thing that let the hotel down was the quality of the bed.

Hotel was clean but staff were surly on the front desk when I arrived and departed. I went to have breakfast on my first morning and was told there was no room so had to have it in the lobby where I had to wait ages before anyone came to take my order. All the tables in the lobby had not been cleared so I had to clear the cups away myself so I could make room for my own coffee. Really disappointed by the experience as I had been looking forward to staying there but when staff are moody and look like they don't want to be there, it really impacts the whole atmosphere. We were also told that we were not allowed the use the pool (a main feature of the hotel) as it had been reserved for a hen party! How paying residents are not allowed to use the pool is beyond me.

We stayed for five days. I don't recall the name of the room class we reserved but it wasn't the smallest or the second smallest. Our initial room was VERY small. There was no room to open a suitcase. There was not a separate bathroom but, instead, a toilet in what should have been a closet and a shower in another space that should have been a closet. After the first night, we asked for a different room. The woman at the desk was very gracious and moved us to a room she said was the same class of room. The room was great--space to open suitcases on the floor and a real bathroom. Hard to believe it was the same class of room. The pool and outdoor bar area were too crowded to use. Other than that, everything was fine. We needed to get to a concert and the host at the restaurant said he would open the restaurant 10 minutes early so we would have time to eat. Overall, the hotel was a good deal for what we paid (though I think we were overcharged for our first night's room).

Hotel was very clean, great location with pleasant, helpful staff. Would recommend

- the room lacking simpliest of things like a vanity kit. -breakfast is mostly egg based menu, which would be ok if the eggs were not undercooked on both occassions - the terrace was closed due to bas weather, which was some rain a few hours later, while overall it was a glorious and warm evening - staff overall is not particularly friendly or willing to help. minimum communication
