Sky Hotel Flushing/LaGuardia Airport

Great staff always wonderful

This is definitely not a hotel. It’s a motel with hourly rates. No hot water. The lady at the desk was rude. I didn’t get the room I asked for. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I’d stay at the airport before I stayed here again.

I had problems with finding parking space, and it was placed in a very crowded area that I didn’t expect it, but in general it was pretty good and the large quiet space in my room was nice 👍

Great staff and as always wonderful service

It is conveniently situated in what New Yorkers calls the 3rd Chinatown of New York and it is also at walking distance from Flushing Meadows. There are restaurants in the area open 24h. The room was a business suit as it was the only one left available. It was clean. You can see that the furniture, fridge and microwave were old but functional. The only downside was that the pole that holds the shower curtain was wobbly. It's one of those bent pole but instead of the curve holding the curtain in a nice semi circle away from the bathtub, the curve was down and the curtain would pool down in the middle and not preventing water from splashing outside of the bathtub area. I did mention it to the staff but the guy that went to check just said "it's ok" and left. It was also noisy part of the early night. Loud knocks, door banging. On the first night the Wi-Fi stopped working at 1am. It was ok the other nights. That's all I can think about.

Staff were super friendly, service was prompt, room was good for the price. Nothing to complain about. Shower water gets plenty not and has good flow and the toilets are the powerful kind. Beds are extremely plush, strictly personal preference whether this is a plus or minus though. AC and heat, very strong and adjustable, will freeze or cook you in five minutes (I made this mistake). Overall very good stay and excellent location. Giant mall literally across the street.
