If you opt for Rila Monastery only without Boyana Church, you will still get the chance to catch a glimpse of the exterior of Boyana Church as well as the garden around it. Rila Monastery is awesome with the paintings and it felt peaceful over there. Remember to prepare 50 cents to use the toilets or you can change it using the coffee machine outside the monastery. The tour agency added in another attraction after Boyana Church at no additional cost. Overall, it’s a great tour but we would prefer if there was time allocated for lunch.

Our tour guide, Martin, is knowledgeable and has a good sense of humour. He provided a lot of information regarding the sites that we visited. The tour was well-paced and we had some free time to explore on our own. Plovdiv as the second largest and one of the oldest cities has much to offer. It is worth a visit. The tour company also provided detailed information timely.

කරුණාවන්ත සහ දැනුවත් මාර්ගෝපදේශකයන් සමඟ ඉතා දැරිය හැකි දින සංචාරයක්! ඉංග්‍රීසි මාර්ගෝපදේශිකා සෝනියා ඉතා කරුණාවන්ත වූ අතර නගරය පිළිබඳව හොඳ දැනුමක් තිබුණි. ප්ලොව්ඩිව් හි අසමාන ගල් අතුරා ඇති මාර්ග සහ බෑවුම් සහිත කඳු රාශියක් ඇති බැවින් සුව පහසු සපත්තු පළඳින්න. බොහෝ වෙළඳසැල් කාඩ්පත් භාර ගන්නා නමුත් බොහෝ තාවකාලික වෙළෙන්දන් මුදල් පමණක් භාර ගනී.

I was hesitating between taking public transport and booking this tour, but it was totally worth it! The main reason I wasn’t sure about booking the tour was that I thought I’d have to rush through the hike. But it turned out I had plenty of time to enjoy both the hike and the incredible views.
Visiting the Seven Rila Lakes ended up being one of the best days I had in Sofia. Absolutely worth it!

Worth the visit. Thank you, Our tour guide Svet was excellent, taking care of us, explaning on every detail, waiting for us to walk back to the bus, not forgetting Nasco our hero who drove us to 3 places and brought us back safely with quite a distance. Booking tickets, checking in on the day, and the tour itself were all smooth. We didn't sign up for a guided tour, so if you don't manage your time well for lunch at restaurants or similar places, you'll end up with a lot of free time. However, it was a worthwhile tour. As for areas for improvement, the bus was quite old, and we noticed some deterioration (malfunctions) inside the vehicle.

The round trip was calm and serene, with a stop for coffee and restrooms at the service area. The visit to the Veliko Tarnovo Fortress was spectacular, with various narrations from our guide. In the watchtower, we took photos wearing helmets and axes. We finished at the church, at the highest point. We left for lunch in the city and to explore it. It will be a day to remember.

We got earlier check in and a free upgrade, reception staff are great. The hotel is stunning, the lobby bar service is excellent and food amazing, the decor is grand. The bedroom has been newly renovated, all controls are electronic, the curtains are motorised, the bathrooms are amazingly decorated, rain shower head has the best water pressure out of all the hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and shower controls are button operated, Clarins brand of toiletries are wonderful, towels are thick, new and lush. I’m very impressed with this hotel, also good value for 5 star
