First time staying in Kurashiki? I highly recommend Dormy Inn Kurashiki with Natural Hot Spring Achi-no-Yu ♨️
The hotel has both indoor and outdoor hot springs. You can even see the moon while soaking in the open-air bath at night – it's incredibly relaxing.
There are also many complimentary services, including drinks, ice cream, and late-night ramen.
The massage chairs are also highly recommended; it's super comfortable to sit in them after a hot spring bath.
The location is excellent too. It's not far to walk to Kurashiki Station and Kurashiki Old Town. If it's your first time in Kurashiki, I highly recommend staying here! ✨

The hotel is located right across from the entrance to the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, meaning you just cross the street and you're in the Bikan area. The hotel rooms are reasonably spacious and comfortable. As far as chain hotels go, Ichigo Group will be an option I consider staying at in the future. However, the check-out time is 10:00 AM, which is earlier than other hotels. Other than that, I was very satisfied overall.

The hotel environment is clean! The front desk staff are friendly! We even received complimentary drinks upon check-in! The twin room was affordably priced, spacious, and included a bathtub. The room had a window with a sunny view of the parking lot (allowing two 29-inch suitcases to be opened simultaneously)! Breakfast offered a wide variety of options (the restaurant staff in the morning were very friendly and even gave our child a small gift)! Unlimited complimentary welcome tea and water were available during our stay! Parking was free for those driving. There's also a large shopping supermarket directly across from the hotel! Many restaurants are available nearby for dinner! We highly recommend this as the top choice for Taiwanese visitors traveling to Kurashiki! The next day, you can plan a visit to Kibitsu Shrine (approximately a 20-minute drive) and then continue on to explore Okayama City. 👍🏼

After watching videos shared online, I stayed for a week using a Klook discount. It's conveniently located within a 10-minute walk of the station (bus, JR), a large supermarket, department stores, and the Bikan Historical Quarter. The room was clean and spacious enough, and the staff were all very friendly. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, ensuring I got all the nutrients I needed daily. On the 11th floor, there's a space for drinks and dining in the evening (including basic utensils and a microwave), where you can also enjoy the night view. The public bath and washing machines are also traveler-friendly amenities. I hope to have the opportunity to stay here again. Many thanks to the hotel staff for their hospitality!

Price: The price was a great deal. I experienced many activities, and it was excellent value for money.
Booking with Klook Convenience: It was super convenient. I just went to the Kurashiki Station Tourist Information Center, told the staff I wanted to redeem my pass, and they scanned the QR code. After confirmation, they immediately issued the exchange voucher and even provided us with a map for reference, which was very thoughtful.

This is an amusement park with a peculiar vibe. There are an incredible number of stairs, which can be tiring. For those who find the stairs difficult, they've created alternative paths like hillsides and wooden structures. While it doesn't really have a strong theme or beautifully decorated areas, there are lots of kids having fun, which makes it feel exciting by association. Not all the rides are perfectly made, but they're decent enough to ride. I was worried it would be empty, but there were actually quite a few people there. The line to get in is long. Kiosks wouldn't really fit in here! There are only a few windows where people manually sell tickets. Going up and down the stairs and playing games at the main stage, making the kids sit down and stand up, is so much fun! The sky was a bit cloudy and visibility was low when I visited, but I bet the view would be great on a nice day!

We were there on 5 April for our 5-yo daughter. The services were amazing, couldn’t have asked for more! The location is a big plus as it’s just an easy walk of 2 minutes from the riverside.

I had a wonderful kimono experience in Kurashiki!
The staff was incredibly kind and patient, letting me try different options until I found the kimono I loved. The whole process felt very personal — from dressing in all the layers to choosing the bag and shoes.
She also did my hair and used the kanzashi I had made earlier in my trip, which made it even more special.
Afterwards, she took photos of me around Kurashiki. Even though it was the end of sakura season, the canal and streets were still beautiful. She gave helpful posing tips and encouraged my own ideas.
Overall, a really warm and memorable experience. I was unsure at first how it would feel as a foreigner, but the reactions were very kind and positive.
Highly recommend this Kimono experience if you're visiting Kurashiki.

The exhibition primarily features optical illusions, and some of the displays are great for taking photos. Overall, it's more recommended for those with children. As people in our late thirties, we finished touring it quite quickly. Oh, and the staff were all very friendly and tourist-friendly!
