Our Shifen sky lantern experience was unforgettable! We came with wishes written on our lantern and left with tons of happy memories (and a lot of photos 😄). The staff were super friendly, energetic, and patient—they made sure our lantern was ready, guided us through every step, and became our personal photographers for the moment. They didn’t just sell us a lantern; they helped create a beautiful memory that we’ll bring home from Taiwan. Thank you for making our Shifen visit extra special! 🎈✨

We saw this lantern activity on tv and thought it would be fun. It turned out to be really spiritual in that we were able to put our wishes on each side of the lantern and then release them. Many lanterns we saw had winning the lottery or finding the perfect mate on them. Ours ended up being very similar even though we had written our wishes independently. Mostly about good health and family. I found this to be a very personal and rewarding activity. Perhaps that was the point all along

This was an awesome way to end our day at Shifen Old Street! As friends, we each picked our lantern 🏮 colors — each carrying its own special meaning — and took time to craft our messages of love, hope, wealth, and health. The moment of setting them off together was truly magical, watching our wishes rise into the sky. 🌌✨ A meaningful, fun, and unforgettable experience I’d highly recommend!

The sky lantern experience was amazing! I loved the place and really enjoyed writing our wishes on the lantern. There are so many food stalls to choose from—we tried the black pig sausage and it was delicious. Overall, it was such a memorable and fun experience!

We had a wonderful experience with the Sky Lantern activity in Shifen. The staff who assisted us were very friendly, accommodating, and made the whole process easy and enjoyable. They also helped take photos for us and even spoke Tagalog, which made us feel very welcome and comfortable. A special mention as well to our tour guide, Susan Chang. While we were busy writing our wishes and enjoying the lantern experience, she thoughtfully bought us peanut ice cream rolls to try. It was such a kind gesture and made an already memorable experience even better. The combination of the beautiful activity, helpful staff, and Susan’s thoughtfulness made this one of the highlights of our Taiwan trip. Highly recommended!
