මුම්බායි අර්ධ දින සංචාරය - ධරාවි, ධෝබිඝාට් සහ ඩබ්බාවාලාස්

පිටත්වීමට පෙර දින, ඔහු නියමිත වේලාවට පැමිණෙන ලෙස මට මතක් කරමින් WhatsApp හරහා මා හා සම්බන්ධ විය. ක්‍රියාකාරකම් දිනයේ මා ඇතුළු සංචාරකයින් පස් දෙනෙක් සිටියහ. එය වැසි සමය වූ නිසා, උදෑසන රැස්වන විට අධික වර්ෂාවක් ඇද හැලුණි. සම්පූර්ණ ගමන දුම්රියෙන් වූ නිසා, එය ගමන් විස්තරයට බලපෑවේ නැත. රෙදි සෝදන ස්ථානයට පැමිණි පසු වැස්ස අඩු විය. Churchgate දුම්රිය ස්ථානයේදී හමු වූ පසු, මාර්ගෝපදේශක Alam අපව පිළිවෙලින් (1) Mahalaxmi දුම්රිය ස්ථානයේ dhobi ghat රෙදි සෝදන ස්ථානයට, (2) Mahim දුම්රිය ස්ථානයේ Dharavi මුඩුක්කු ප්‍රදේශයට රැගෙන ගිය අතර, අවසානයේ (3) Dabbawalas දිවා ආහාර බෙදාහරින්නන් බැලීමට Churchgate දුම්රිය ස්ථානයට ආපසු පැමිණියේය. දුම්රිය සැකැස්ම ඉතා දක්ෂ වූ අතර, උදෑසන කාර්යබහුල වේලාවන් මනාව මග හැරියේය. සමස්ත ක්‍රියාකාරකම ඉතා සැහැල්ලු වූ අතර, පැහැදිලි කිරීම් ගැඹුරු විය. දින භාගයක් තුළ මුම්බායි ජීවිතයේ එක් පැතිකඩක් ඉක්මනින් අත්විඳීමට හැකිවීම ඉතා විශිෂ්ටයි.

We picked the option with transfer. We were picked up by a driver from our hotel who then dropped us off at Regal Cinema where our guide, Dawood, greeted us. He brought us to India Gateway, then we took the bus to the train station before taking the train to Dharavi. Dawood brought us around the area and showed us the businesses inside and how people lived there. Then, we took the train to Dhobi Ghaut, where we were guided by someone actually working as a Dobi inside. We were told that unless we took a guided tour, we wouldn’t have been able to enter - so we’re glad we did. Then we took the train back to where we started where we got to witness the Dabbawallas in action. All in all, it was an amazing experience and Dawood was very knowledgeable and fluent.

දිනේෂ් ඉතා හොඳ මාර්ගෝපදේශකයෙක්, ඉංග්‍රීසි හොඳින් කතා කරන අතර අප අසන සෑම ප්‍රශ්නයකටම පිළිතුරු දීමට කැමතියි. මෙම සංචාරය හොඳින් සංවිධානය වී ඇති අතර දැකීමට බොහෝ දේ ඇත. අප සම්බන්ධ වූ සෑම කොටසක්ම ඉතා විනෝදජනකයි, මුම්බායි ව්‍යාපාර පවත්වාගෙන යන ආකාරයද පුදුම සහගතයි.

Dinesh was a great guide and the tour was super interesting. We went on Sunday so seeing the lunch boxes were not an option but we saw the flower market, slums and the laundry which were really interesting. We also got to ride a train with open doors which my young son enjoyed. The tour got moved to start at 11am which was great as the 8am would have been a challenge. On Sunday things were quiet which was nice especially as we had a 4 year old with us.

Today we went on the Mumbai Unplugged tour and also the Slum City tour. Alam was our tour guide. Alam was very friendly, very caring, very patient as well as extremely knowledgeable. Alam met us on time, showed us the Gateway to India, Flower market, laundry area as well as the lunchbox delivery. We then proceeded onto the Slum City. We travelled by bus and train. The tour was very well organised and we saw so much of Mumbai in 1 day, that we would normally not see by ourselves. We enjoyed our tour very much and we had a fantastic day, thanks to Alam. We would definitely recommend everyone visiting Mumbai to do these tours. Very good insite into life in Mumbai and very good value for money. Klookのサイトに掲載されていた内容が、若干変更になっていたのですが、what’s app経由で現地のスタッフから、それでも良いかと確認の連絡をくださいました。フラワーマーケット→スラム街に変更になったのですが、むしろ自分では絶対にいけないところに連れて行っていただき、本当にユニークな体験をさせていただきました。休日の為、お休みだと聞き諦めていたDabbaまで、もしかしてみれるかも？と連れて行って頂いたのですが、小規模ながらちゃんと見学をすることができました。電車やバスにも乗り、盛りだくさん、大満足のツアーでした。ガイドさんにも心から感謝です❣️
